A twist and turn in the penalty area - followed by a rifled shot - saw Mark Viduka net Middlesbrough's final goal as the Teesiders ousted Charlton 4-2 in their FA Cup semi-final replay on Wednesday.

The big Australian had looked classy all night and his 77th minute effort was the pick of Boro's bunch.

Earlier strikes by Fabio Rochemback, James Morrison and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink saw the home side with their noses in front for the majority of the evening.
Hasslebaink decided to atone for his 69th minute booking by firing confidently home from Morrison's lay-off.
The young midfielder had looked lively all night. It was he who took advantage of Hermann Hreidarsson's woeful attempt to clear, to slot in at close quarters on 25 minutes.
It was no more than Boro deserved, despite Bryan Hughes's immediate response to Rochemback's rifled free kick opener on 10 minutes.
CAPTAIN BLUNDERS
Charlton's other goal came courtesy of Boro captain Gareth Southgate. The captain was in the wrong place at the wrong time, as he deflected in after some penalty box ping-pong.
Boro have now resurrected their season in the space of a week, following the miraculous comeback against Basel in the UEFA Cup last Thursday.
Champions and Premier League leaders Chelsea meet Liverpool in the other FA Cup semi-final.
