Chelsea and Liverpool clash for a place in the F.A Cup final on Saturday. The winner will meet West Ham or Middlesbrough in the final. It's the tenth time the two sides meet in the last two years.
Chelsea and Liverpool meet at Old Trafford on Saturday for the tenth time in two years. And up until now, the Blues have had the upper hand.
Jose Mourinho's men have done the Premiership double over Liverpool this season and the last, and beat the Reds in the League Cup final in Cardiff last year. Liverpool's only positive result against Chelsea was when they put them out of the Champions League, in the semi-final stage, to go on and win it against AC Milan in the final.
This season, Liverpool and Chelsea were drawn in the same pool for the Champions League group stage, which produced two dull 0-0 draws. However Saturday's encounter is worth a place in the final so both teams shouldn't display the same kind of defensive stance they had done in their European meetings.
Frank Lampard will be making his 250th appearance for Chelsea and no doubt the England international will want to cap that with a goal. Lampard has been inspirational all season, scoring 16 goals in the league, which, for a midfielder, is a rare feat.
Meanwhile Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard has had to shrug off further speculation about his future this week. Linked with a move to Real Madrid, he has insisted that he wasn't going anywhere:
"I'll be staying here until the day someone tells me they don't want me. I'm settled and happy at Liverpool, and I'm not going to go through another summer like the last two."
Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler is cup-tied for the game but Peter Crouch is poised to make his return. Aussie winger Harry Kewell should start on the left wing.
