Manchester City boss Stuart Pearce insisted he is building for success at the City of Manchester Stadium ahead of his side's FA Cup fifth round replay against Aston Villa on Tuesday.

City have not won a meaningful piece of silverware for 30 years - their last triumph was way back in 1976 when they won the League Cup - but Pearce believes he is building something special at City that could see a return to trophy winning ways.
"It's important I build something our supporters can be proud of. You build things by winning things," he said.
"I'm aware of the history and how long it is since the club last won anything.
"We're at home, with the promise of another one if we win. You can't ask for any more than a huge carrot like that to be dangled in front of you."
City had to rely on an injury time Micah Richards equaliser to force a replay in the first match, after Milan Baros had seemingly done enough to put Villa through to the next round.
And Villa manager David O'Leary is well aware of the threat City pose to his side's progression in this year's competition.
"Since I've been at the club, they are a team we haven't done well against and we have lost there twice in the league," O'Leary said.
"In the FA Cup game we were fortunate to be going in at half-time level, but we were stealing the game until they scored in injury-time.
"They stole it back off us. We were both fortunate to get a replay. Going to Man City won't be easy."
