FULL TIME: It's another unhappy return to the Bridge for Mourinho as Chelsea beat ten-man United 1-0 after a stunning Kante strike. The talking point though will be Herrera's red card in the first period. The Blues are in the hat for the FA Cup semi-final. Thanks for following the game with us..
- OffDiego CostaChelsea
- OnMichy BatshuayiChelsea
Batshuayi is on for Costa for the dying seconds.
Chelsea break with Costa, he squares it to Fabregas whose drive from inside the area is parried by De Gea and Hazard's effort on the rebound is blocked.
There will be four added minutes.
Chelsea are hanging on comfortably here. It's a surprise Mata was not called upon.
- Yellow cardDiego CostaChelsea
Costa is booked for diving in on Jones having lost possession, that yellow was coming.
POGBA EFFORT: The Frenchman drags his shot wide from 25 yards from a central position, decent effort.
- OffAshley YoungManchester United
- OnJesse LingardManchester United
Mourinho also makes a change with Young on for Lingard, who has a habit of scoring in the big Cup games.
- OnCesc FàbregasChelsea
Willian makes way for Fabregas.
- Yellow cardAshley YoungManchester United
Young is booked for a challenge from behind. Lingard is coming on for the reigning FA Cup holders.
OUCH! Valencia dives in on Kante, he went in sideways and escapes a card.
SO CLOSE! Willian whips in a low cross which Costa fails to get on the end of with an outsretched foot.
GOOD SAVE: Willian turns sharply in the box and fires a drive at the near post which De Gea saves. The corner is cleared by the United defence.
Chelsea are continuing to bombard the United goal, particularly Moses who has put in some good crosses. Conte will be pleased with his side's dominance.
Mourinho has Mata and Lingard as his attacking options as we enter the final stages. The Spaniard may be a good option against a tiring Chelsea defence.
Costa has gone down theatrically after a collision with Rojo, the third time they have had a coming together in the second half.
WILLIAN EFFORT: Kante dummies Fellaini before finding Willian whose curling effort from distance is narrowly over the bar.
COSTA MISS! Chelsea have a corner from the right. Its a great delivery and an unmarked Costa runs in and heads it wide from close range, the ball appeared to come off his shoulder. What a chance!
GOOD SAVE! Rashford is through one-on-one with Cahill after a mistake from Luiz, he bursts towards goal and his low shot is well kept out by Courtois's legs.
CHANCE! Kante lays the ball off to Azpilcueta who blazes a shot from 25 yards over the bar.
No prizes for guessing who has won the battle of the French midfielders tonight, Kante has been brilliant while Pogba has been largely anonymous.
Kante was not closed down by Pogba and rifled his effort into the corner which seemed to catch De Gea by surprise. What a signing he has been for the Premier League leaders..
- GoalN'Golo KantéChelsea
GOAL! A patient buildup around the box leads to Willian laying it off to Kante, who fires in a low shot from 25 yards into the corner. What a strike!
The Blues look to be committing more players forward, Azpilcueta has a long-range effort which flies over the bar.
Fabregas is going through his warm-up, he will surely be the man to bring on to try and unlock the United defence.
United have a free-kick midway inside the Chelsea half after Pogba is fouled by Azpilcueta. Young's delivery is poor though and is cleared by Kante.
SECOND HALF: Rashford gets the second period underway.
- End of 1st Half
HALF TIME: It is 0-0 but the talking point is Herrera getting two yellow cards to leave United with a mountain to climb. De Gea produced two fine saves to deny Hazard and Cahill and Mourinho and Conte clashed on the touchline, we've had everything but a goal.
There will be two added minutes.
Jose's reaction to the sending off of Herrera..
FLASH POINT: Conte marches towards Mourinho to give him the hairdryer treatment after a crunching challenge from Valencia on Alonso yards away. The referee and his assistant have words with the two managers, it's getting very fiesty now.
MOSES EFFORT: The full-back fires in a drive from the edge of the area which goes narrowly over the bar.
The second booking was debatable but Herrera has been guilty of a few late challenges before his dismissal.
- OffHenrikh MkhitaryanManchester United
- OnMarouane FellainiManchester United
Mkhitaryan is sacrificed for Fellaini as United regroup after being reduced to ten men.
Mourinho is smirking at that decision sarcastically. What a turning point this could be.
- Red cardAnder HerreraManchester United
RED CARD! Herrera is off after getting a second booking for tripping Hazard from behind. The Spaniard and his team-mates are surrounding Michael Oliver to protest.
Rashford looks to have shaken off the illness he had judging by the way he has been running, mind games perhaps over his fitness doubts?
HAZARD CHANCE! The playmaker bursts into the box and from a tight angle, snatches at the shot and it flies well over the bar, he looked to be slightly off balance.
The intensity of the game has dropped off compared to the frenetic start. There's very little space in the midfield area.
Sir Alex Ferguson is in the crowd, he was in charge when United lost the 2007 Cup final to Chelsea at Wembley.
Pogba has struggled to make an impact on the game so far, he is being well marshalled by Kante.
AMBITIOUS: Matic tries his luck from 30 yards but only succeeds in finding row Z, Conte applauds his effort.
We have reached the midway point of the half and we have had moments of quality, particularly from Hazard. Mourinho's side have done plenty of running but have created little.
- Yellow cardAnder HerreraManchester United
Herrera is booked for blocking Hazard with his shoulder as he went to trade passes with Costa. The Belgian is getting treatment for a head injury from that collision.
FANTASTIC STOP! From the corner, the ball falls to Cahill who slides in and gets a shot away from close range which is kept out with one hand by De Gea!
HAZARD EFFORT! The Belgian with a brilliant spin near the halfway line, he beats two players before firing in a low shot which comes off Darmian and is well saved from De Gea for a corner.
Jones is doing a good job in front of the defence, keeping an eye on the pocket rocket Hazard.
The home side have a free midway in their opponents half after Darmian mis-times a tackle on Willian. The delivery from Luiiz is played short but Young comes in with a strong challenge and the move breaks down.
CHANCE! Pogba loops the ball to Rashford who runs at goal, he is tackeld by Azpilcueta but the ball falls to Mkhitaryan on the edge of the area and his low drive flashes wide.
Valencia snaps at the heels of Alonso, that could have been a yellow. The visitors are trying to disrupt Chelsea by pressing them in their half.
United have shown plenty of aggression in the early stages and have been first to the 50:50 balls. No chances created yet though.
Costa is penalised for barging over Herrera, a minute after the Chelsea striker was on the receiving end of a crunching challenge from Rojo. It looks to be a busy night for Michael Oliver.
The last two Cup games between these sides have gone to a replay. That cannot happen tonight under the new rules, so it's extra time and penalties.
There was a frosty handshake before the game between Mourinho and Conte following their disagreement in the league game in October.
CHANCE! Alonso gets in ahead of Herrera and puts the ball behind for a corner. The delivery from Mkhitaryan is a good one and finds an unbalanced Rojo but his header is way off target.
KICK-OFF: Chelsea, who go with their tried and tested 3-4-3, get the game underway with Costa.
Five minutes till kick-off!
Conte is diplomatic as ever in assessing his side's chances: "In October, before the game I was sure of facing a great team. It's the same now. Manchester United have together with [Manchester] City the best squad in the league. We have a good identity. We are showing good football but for sure it will be a really tough game."
Mourinho, without Zlatan, Martial and Rooney, on his team with a lot of references to under-23 team coach Nicky Butt: "We cannot go with Nicky Butt's team. Manchester United is too big. Manchester United is the winner of the competition. It is not Chelsea's fault that we were given this Monday match, so we have to make changes for sure."
Chelsea have won two out of the three FA Cup sixth round ties between the teams, the most recent of which was in 2013 after a goal from Demba Ba.
There has been plenty of mind games in the build-up from Mourinho about Chelsea's style of play..
Conte has a full team to choose from and goes with a strong team, Willian and Matic are in. Terry, Fabregas, and Pedro are on the bench.
It's a return to the Bridge for Mourinho, who will be hoping to avoid a repeat of the 4-0 victory for the Blues over United in October which led to the unsavoury scenes between the Portuguese coach and Antonio Conte after the final whistle.
The big team news is Rashford has recovered from illness and is fit to start with Mkhitaryan playing behind him. Fellaini is on the bench.
