That's full time. Ronaldo helped break the deadlock, but Portugal will be most glad they haven't suffered any serious injury. As committed as New Zealand were, there were plenty of heavy challenges which led to a fairly mardy atmosphere.
GOAL! Portugal 4-0 New Zeland. Nani scores - Released into the box, Nani performs a couple of stepovers to make some space, and he drills it into the far post.
Doyle boots Nani from behind, and Nani seems happy to start a ruckus, too. The amount of fouling in this tournament has been ridiculous.
Patricio gets down quickly to save from Bloxall on the line. Portugal had failed to deal with a header across goal from Chris Wood at the back post.
Patricio is down for a bit of treatment, but he should be OK to continue for the next few minutes.
Two quick shots from Andre Silva sees the first blocked by Smith, and the second deflected behind by him. Corner on the right wing.
Martins replaces Quaresma.
Ingham is booked, and a few seconds after, Rojas blasts a shot from distance miles over the bar.
GOAL! Portugal 3-0 New Zealand. Andre Silva scores - A defensive mistake gives Silva the ball on the halfway line. He jogs goalwards, isn't challenged, and darts past one defender before rifling into the top of the net from a tight angle.
Nani scoots into the box from the left hand side. He makes a bit of roomm to aim a shot at the far top corner, but it's curled well wide of the post.
With 15 minutes to go, you get the sense that both teams wouldn't actually mind beating the eff out of one another. It's very, very niggly.
Smeltz is on now for New Zealand.
Smith, chasing back, nudges Nani to the ground as he was straining to reach a cross from the left.
Nelson Semedo forces through a cross on the right, and it comes to Nani. He sidefoots a shot at goal, it takes a deflection, and Marinovic's positioning is so good he can beat it away from goal.
Ronaldo is withdrawn and Nani is on.
Lewis off, Barbarouses on.
Moutinho releases Andre Silva down the middle, totally unmarked. Marinovic stands up to him and sticks out an arm to beat it away.
Quaresma's cross for Andre Silva is almost brilliant, but just a few inches too high at the back post.
Semedo whips a cross into Ronaldo, and his sheer strength sees him head an effort at goal that is fiercely struck, but is straight at the 'keeper.
New Zealand go close. Doyle slides a cross across the six yard box to the back post. Smith slides a leg out, it's through Patricio's legs and it bounces off Alves and away.
Tuiloma hoiks the ball towards Smith. It strikes him, perhaps on the back, but it's cleared back out. Smith then meets the next, but his flick-on to Rojas doesn't meet him. Then, Pepe goes flying into Doyle, a dreadful challenge. It's reckless, high and stupid, and there's no need for it. It may technically have been a yellow, but what a tedious man, send him off.
Smith holds the ball up and wins a corner on the right wing, high up the pitch.
Ronaldo runs towards the box but is quickly crowded out. He turns away from goal and nudges it to Moutinho.
Lewis gets behind the defence on the right, but his cross to Wood is headed away.
We go again.
That's half time. See you in 15 minutes.
There will be a couple of minutes of added time.
Ronaldo is fouled with a nudge to the back after he won a high ball. Free kick just into New Zealand's half.
Semedo has the chance to shoot from distance, and he hits it well, but it flies open. On a replay, Andre Silva aimed a punch at a New Zealand player following his shirt-ripping, but he's got away with it.
Andre Silva's shirt has been ripped down one side, and he's wondering what he has to do to get a foul. He'll be able to change in a minute or two.
Quaresma flicks a cross into the box, but it's out of reach of Andre Silva and the danger has passed, at least momentarily. Moutinho cross from the right, in behind the defence, but his cut-back is put behind for a corner on the right.
Bernardo Silva has received a bit of treatment to that ankle injury, but he's OK to get back on the pitch now.
GOAL! Portugal 2-0 New Zealand. Bernardo Silva scores - Eliseu is released down the left, he skips down the wing, into the box, and he squares it for Silva to fire into the net. He lands awkwardly on Doyle, who is booked for his attempted sliding block.
McGlinchey is removed in the early stages fof the game for Tuiloma. It isn't clear if it's tactical or injury related.
Mexico have equalised against Russia, meaning Portugal go top of the group with seven points.
GOAL! Portugal 1-0 New Zealand. Ronaldo scores - A confident run-up and Ronaldo blasts his spot-kick up to the right, Marinovic goes left.
PENALTY! Danilo goes down as he looks for a cross, he's sandwiched between two defenders and go down, and the ref awards it.
Danilo meets a corner, his header striker Smith and goes just wide of the bottom far corner.
Moutinho sizes up his options in the box, on the right, and his cross is deflected into the air and behind.
Quaresma twists and turns on the left, makes space for a cross, but Ronaldo can't reach the ball into the middle.
Two corners in quick succession for Portugal, but nothing from them. Portugal keep hold of it once it's cleared. Eliseu has a bit of space on the left, but his cross is blocked and out for a throw.
A cross comes in from the left, Ronaldo heads goalwards, beating Marinovic, but it strikes the crossbar and flies away from goal.
Smith receives the ball on the edge of the box, and he dinks a volley at goal which loops over the net.
Nelson Semedo wins a corner on the right wing. The corner is headed out by Ingham, but Portugal keep hold of it. It's crossed to Ronaldo, and he heads down fiercely, but the 'keeper can save.
Portugal are camped in New Zealand's half, but a stray pass gives New Zealand the chance to break. Semedo slides in from behind on Doyle, and gets himself booked, too.
Lewis is booked for blocking off Eliseu's charge down the left wing. It was a hefty old collision, but they're both OK to continue.
Thomas shoulder-barges Bernardo Silva on the touchline, introducing him into the advertising hoardings.
Quaresma picks up a pass from Ronaldo just inside the box, and he can't get a shot away quickly enough. It's blocked and out for a throw.
Portugal are in total control at the moment, but New Zealand are organised and happy to sit back and block.
Smith catches Danilo in the face on the edge of Portugal's box. He's receiving treatment, but should be fine to continue.

Wood chests a cross down, turning away from goal, and he hooks a low shot at the near post that Patricio dives down to save.

In terms of Premier League interest, there's Nelson Semedo, regularly linked with a move away from Benfica. There's Bernardo Silva, too, now at Manchester City.
Portugal have Cristiano Ronaldo and Ricardo Quaresma up front, and so they will win, and comfortably.
