Arsenal have targeted Adrien Rabiot as a potential free transfer this summer with the France international ready to leave Paris Saint-Germain.

Rabiot is out in the cold at the Parc des Princes after turning down the chance of a new contract under Thomas Tuchel, but the 23-year-old worked well under Unai Emery during the Arsenal manager's time in Paris.
Having been reunited with Denis Suarez last month, Emery looks set to team up once more with a favoured midfielder, with the Sunday Mirror reporting that Arsenal will join Barcelona in approaching the player in the summer.

After the arrival of Frenkie De Jong at the Nou Camp, Arsenal could hold the upper hand, with Tottenham and Liverpool also understood to be expressing an interest
Meanwhile, the Daily Mail are reporting that Marc Overmars is the front runner to become the club's new director of football.
Overmars is currently in the same role at Ajax, but he has been earmarked by head of football Raul Sanllehi as the ideal candidate given his track record and previous ties with Arsenal.

Sanllehi crossed paths with Overmars briefly at Barcelona in the tail-end of their respective playing careers in 2003, and the Dutchman will battle it out with Monchi, now at Roma having developed his eye for recruitment during his time with Sevilla.
Overmars has demonstrated a sound ability in the transfer market during his time with Ajax - the club spent £900,000 on Frenkie de Jong to sign him from Willem II before agreeing to sell him to Barcelona for £66m.
Arkadiusz Milik was brought from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015 for £2.5m before being offloaded to Napoli a year later for £29m, while Davinson Sanchez was signed from Atletico Nacional in 2016 for £4m and swiftly sold to Spurs for £25m.
