Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been crowned African Football of the Year for the second year running.
The Egypt international claimed the prize after fending off his Liverpool team-mate Sadio Mane and Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
Salah scored 44 goals in all competitions last season, and he has already struck 13 times this season in 23 matches.
Former Nigeria playmaker Jay-Jay Okocha was the last player to win the award in consecutive seasons, and Salah also pipped Juventus defender Mehdi Benatia and Atletico midfielder Thomas Partey to the gong this time around.
Salah told the BBC: "It's a great feeling to win again. I'm happy and I would like to win it also next year.
"There have been many good moments in 2018. The game against Roma at Anfield (Champions League semi-final, first leg) was unbelievable.
"I'm scoring goals and helping the team to get the points to be top of the league. That's always a great feeling."
Salah will have his sights on a first piece of silverware with Liverpool this season, with Jurgen Klopp's side currently top of the Premier League and also through to the last 16 of the Champions League.
The BBC received a record number of 650,000 votes for this year's award.
