Eight-time Olympic sprint champion Bolt scored twice in a friendly match in his most impressive outing during a trial at Central Coast Mariners.
The A-League side are now weighing up whether to sign the 32-year-old forward – but could face competition.
The Telegraph report says:
The Daily Telegraph understands Bolt has been made a formal two-year offer to join a top-flight front-runner and even play in the team's upcoming cup final. The club has recently been acquired by ambitious investors with aspirations of qualifying for the group stages of the European Champions League.
Other than stating that the club plays in Southern Europe, further details are a mystery.

Could AC Milan be the mystery club??

We don't have an inside line here at Eurosport, but doing some sleuthing (with thanks to Mattia Fontana from our Italian office), one big candidate has emerged... AC Milan!
  • "Southern Europe" - yep
  • "Upcoming cup final" - yep, the Supercup final, against Juventus, in January
  • "Recently acquired by ambitious investors" - yep, US hedge fund Elliot took control in July
  • "Aspirations of qualifying for the Champions League group stages" - they last competed in the group stages in 2013-14
  • "Top-flight front-runner"? Milan are currently 10th in Serie A, but are clearly one of the traditional powerhouses in Italian football
It's about as perfect a match as you could hope for, and when you throw in the fact that Milan's kit-maker is Puma, Bolt's own sponsor, well, just watch this space...
