Well, Arsenal claim a 3-2 win over Manchester City after a strong second half showing in Gothenburg, but it has come at a cost. Gabriel went down with a bad injury in stoppage time and that could be a huge blow to the Gunners' chances ahead of the new season.

FULL-TIME: Arsenal 3-2 Manchester City
UH OH! This is a bad one for Gabriel. He has hit the turf with an injury and the stretcher is out for him. Arsenal already have problems with injury at the back and this will make things worse.
GOOD SAVE FROM CECH! Great play from Toure sees his take the ball with his back to goal, turning and shooting at goal. His effort draws a save from the Arsenal keeper.
All of a sudden this match isn't as comfortable as it was just a few moments ago. Manchester City are now pressing, looking for an equaliser and a way to a penalty shootout.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Arsenal 3 Manchester City 2 (87 mins - Kelechi Iheanacho). They have a goal back almost immediately! De Bruyne crossed into the box and Iheanacho was there to head home from close range.
The defensive play from Manchester City has been atrocious all night. I understand that this isn't their strongest backline, but even still, Guardiola will be disappointed wih their play.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Arsenal 3 (85 mins - Chuba Akpom) Manchester City 1. Terrible defending from Man City! They play themselves into trouble, Walcott pounces on it and Akpom is on hand to finish into the net.
Of course, the Gunners face Liverpool on the opening day of the Premier League campaign next weekend, with Manchester City up against Sunderland. The start of the season is almost here!
There were concerns among Arsenal fans upon seeing Liverpool smash Barcelona 4-0 at Wembley yesterday, but this performance will have eased some of those fears.
The flow of this match has been disrupted by the sheer number of changes in the last 15 minutes or so, but Wenger will be pleased with how his team have turned this around.
Manchester City sub: Gael Clichy and Raheem Sterling OFF, Alex Zinchenko and Angelino ON.
Hmmmmmmm I said earlier that Alexis had come off, but he's just come off there for Akpom. I'll be glad when competitive football starts again and there are only three subs!
WHAT A MISS! Oh my word! How did Toure miss that? De Bruyne played the ball back to the midfielder from the byline, but he somehow sends his shot about 20 yards over the target.
The Man City defence was pulled all over the place there! They couldn't deal with the movement of both Alexs and Walcott and in the end the latter was clean through on goal.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Arsenal 2 (73 mins - Theo Walcott) Manchester City 1. They have turned the game around here in Sweden! Alexis plays through Walcott and the winger chips a wonderful finish over Hart to give Arsenal the lead.
Just a reminder that if this game ends level after 90 minutes there will be a penalty shootout to decide who wins. There will be a winner here today in Gothenburg!
It looks like Arsenal will also be making a number of changes. Joel Campbell will be coming on for the Gunners. He's stripped down by the touchline and ready to be introduced.
Here come some more changes for Manchester City. It looks like Delph will be coming off for them. He has done reasonably well in the centre of the pitch. Guardiola will be pleased.
SCRAMBLE IN THE BOX! I'm not sure who had the shot for Manchester City, but Ceh had to make the save, with his Arsenal defenders clearing the ball under pressure on front of him.
Sagna has also come on for Manchester City with Zabaleta coming off. Guardiola is trying out different options at right back, it would seem.
GREAT SAVE FROM HART! Walcott hit the shot first time from the right wing after being set up by Cazorla, but the Man City keeper did well to tip the effort round the far post.
Arsenal sub: Alexis Sanchez OFF, Santi Cazorla ON.
Here come the changes for Manchester City. This just demonstrates the strength in depth they have their squad. Guardiola has so many different options throughout his team.
Manchester City subs: Nolito and David Silva OFF, Kevin De Bruyne and Jesus Navas ON.
There was a sense last season that Alexis didn't quite live up to his potential at Arsenal. He struggled with injury but he has looked much better this summer. Back to full fitness.
OFF THE BAR! That was so close to a second goal for Arsenal. Alexis lined up the freekick on the edge of the penalty area and smashed his effort off the crossbar with Hart beaten.
Arsenal have been the better side in this second half. They have enjoyed a positive start and they haven't looked back after finding the equaliser. Good stuff from the Gunners. Impressive.
Ramsey just could prod through the pass on the edge of the penalty area. The Welshman was trying to find Iwobi but the Man City defence did just enough to block it.
You do wonder what good these pre-season friendlies serve clubs at this stage? I understand that they want to get minutes under their belts, but does this serve them well?
YELLOW CARD: Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)
Walcott said earlier this week that he wanted to be played as a winger rather than a striker and he has shown why he can be so dangerous in that position. Notice that, Wenger?
Guardiola will be concerned by the defending from Manchester City, though. They took quite some time to recover their shape and numbers as Arsenal came flooding forward!
Walcott did really well to pick out the run of Iwobi and the youngster's finish was a cultured one. That was a decent counter attack by Arsenal. That was very unlike them!
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Arsenal 1 (51 mins - Alex Iwobi) Manchester City 1. We're all square in Gothenburg! Walcott picked out the run of Iwobi and the youngster found the bottom corner of the net with a curling right-footed finish.
Arsenal started the first half brightly. In fact, they were the strongest side for a spell, but as time progressed Manchester City took a grip of the match and took the lead through Aguero.
The centre back pairing between Holding and Gabriel didn't look to solid in the first half, and so Chambers has been brought on at the break to shore things up. Will it work, though?
Wenger has made a couple of changes at the break. It looks like Calum Chambers has come on for Arsenal, with midfielder Mohamed Elneny also coming off the bench for the Gunners.
The second half is under way in Gothenburg! Manchester City hold a 1-0 lead over Arsenal in this friendly match.
What did you make of the first half in Gothenburg? Do Manchester City deserve to be ahead? What is you opinion on the starting lineup picked by Wenger tonight? Tweet me!
HALF-TIME: Arsenal 0-1 Manchester City. Aguero's goal is the difference between the two sides at the break. Man City have probably been the better side, but it's been a low-key affair.
This does have the feel of a pre-season friendly match to it. There's not a great deal of intensity, as if both teams are just going through the motions.
Of course, Man City have played one fewer pre-season game than they had planned after the Manchester derby against United in Beijing was cancelled due to a terrible pitch.
What has been interesting about this first half is that Bellerin has charged through the centre of the pitch on a number of occasions. He hasn't just been restricted to the wing.
Man City looked a little uncomfortable with their shape and formation earlier in this half, but they have adapted well to it. They are controlling the contest, keeping Arsenal at arm's length.
This will also be a big season for Ramsey. He was probably the best Premier Lague player at Euro 2016 and now Arsenal will want him to be the same player for them.
Monreal did well there to deal with the threat of Silva as the Spanish playmaker tried to burst towards the byline. The left-back has been tested so far in this first half.
This could actually be Wenger's last season in charge of Arsenal, with the Frenchman's contract set to run out at the end of this campaign. Could this be his farewell tour at the club?
After a bright start to the match Arsenal have faded. They need to regroup at the break. They have lacked any control of the contest in the centre of the field. Unlike them.
It's worth noting that Aguero might not be assured the starting place he has been in recent years. Guardiola could experiment with his frontline. He doesn't always play a striker!
Can Guardiola get the best out of Sterling? The winger could be a real difference maker for Manchester City, but with Silva, De Bruyne and others there competition is stiff at the club.
Sterling struggled last season at times, but it's easy to forget that he is still only 21 years old. He is still a developing player and is still an extremely bright prospect for Man City.
The finish from Aguero was nice, but the cross from Sterling on the right wing was sublime! If he can produce that sort of end product regularly he will be some player!
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Arsenal 0 Manchester City 1 (30 mins - Sergio Aguero). There's the breakthrough and it has gone to Manchester City! Sterling plays a wonderful cross into the box and Aguero gets on the end of it to finish past Cech.
Who plays around Aguero in that Man City front line is still up for debate. It doesn't really seem that Guardiola has made up his mind yet, although Nolito looks to be a good bet.
Much of what City are doing well is coming through Aguero. The Argentine is a Guardiola type of player and will be just as important this season as in previous seasons.
One player who will be watched closely is Gabriel Jesus. He won't join up with the rest of his new Man City teammates for quite some time. He's playing for Brazil at the Olympics.
Of course, the City team that is playing this afternoon could be very different to the one that Guardiola eventually settles on as his strongest side. There are a number of players still to join up.
Manchester City start their Premier League campaign against Sunderland next week and there's still a sense that this team are still adapting to Guardiola's formation and philosophy.
BELLERIN MAKES THE BLOCK! Aguero got away from the two central defenders, but the Arsenal right back does well to take the sting out of the effort from the Argentine.
That last opportunity showed what Xhaka will bring to this Arsenal team. He has a great range of passing and will bring an extra edge of creativity in and around the penallty area.
HE SHOULD HAVE SCORED! Xhaka picked out Oxlade-Chamberlain with an excellent pass over the top, but the attacker could only lob his finish wide of the far post. That was close!
This will be a very important season for Bellerin. He was the breakthrough star in the Premier League last term, now the young Spaniard must back it up with another good campaign.
Fernando needed to make that challenge! Bellerin burst through the centre of the pitch and was one player from being through on goal, but the midfielder made the challenge!
There are reports this afternoon that Guardiola wants to sign another midfielder this summer and that he wants to get Toni Kroos from Real Madrid. That would be an interesting one.
Arsenal have probably been the better of the two sides in this match so far. They look more dangerous when they come forward. Alexis is giving City problems with his movement.
RAMSEY COMES CLOSE! That was the best chance of the match so far. Alexis crossed the ball into the Welsh midfielder, but on the run he could only find the top of the net with a header.
There is still a lot of frustration over Wenger's reluctance to spend big in the transfer market. They have only spent big to sign Xhaka this summer. Will his arrival be enough?
Although Theo Walcott could start up front for Arsenal. The England international now says he wants to be played on the wing, but Wenger still seemingly sees him as a striker.
Wenger has opted for Sanchez as his central striker and there is a suggestion that the Chilean could stay in that position for the league opener against Liverpool next week.
Silva does well to burst to the byline, but his cross into the box is blocked by Gabriel, who has been very involved in the opening few minutes of this match. He's everywhere!
There have been rumours over the course of the summer that Guardiola wants to sign Ter Stegen from Barcelona, with young goalkeeper Rulli also linked with a move to Man City.
It's interesting that Caballero has been given the gloves for this evening's game. Could Guardiola opt for him over Joe Hart as his number one goalkeeper for the season ahead?
First chance of the match falls to Arsenal, but Gabriel can only send his header tamely wide of the target from Ramsey's freekick into the penalty area. Should have done better.
Man City are playing in their new black and red away kit, with Arsenal in their familiar red and white colours. There's not the biggest of crowds in Gothenburg to watch this one.
Guardiola has given summer signing Nolito a place in the starting lineup for this match. The Spanish international was signed from Celta Vigo after an impressive Euro 2016.
The match is under way in Gothenburg! It's Arsenal against Manchester City!
This is the final chance for both these teams to fine tune their teams ahead of next week's Premier League opener. Of course, Arsenal have a tough one against Liverpool.
