What a great result for Klopp and Liverpool! Barcelona were decidedly second best and the Reds will take great confidence into their Premier League opener against Arsenal next week. They were exceptional in every way!

FULL-TIME: Liverpool 4-0 Barcelona
- GoalMarko Grujic
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Liverpool 4 (92 mins - Grujic) Barcelona 0. What a magnificent way to end things! Lallana plays a wonderful little chipped pass for Grujic to send a looping header over Bravo and into the far corner. Great goal!
That could be a real concern for Liverpool. Lovren seems to have pulled something and the defender has walked off the pitch without Klopp making a change. No need to take chances.
Two minutes of stoppage time to be played at the end of the second half.
What is it with the top knots at Liverpool this summer? Both Moreno and Firmino have them ahead of the new season. Did one copy the other? Are they going for the Zlatan look?
Origi has impressed since he came on. The Belgian wasn't given a chance under Brendan Rodgers, but Klopp seems to have taken a shine to the young attacker.
Rakitic whips a freekick into the penalty area, but the Liverpool defenders were alert to the danger and clear the ball behind for a corner kick. Barcelona have had no joy in the attacking third.
Klopp is crouched down on his haunches, watching his Liverpool side play out the final five minutes of this match. This is still a chance for the fringe players to impress him.
Of course, Klopp is still constructing his squad, with players also sure to leave the club before the end of the summer transfer window, but you can see what he's trying to do now.
This game died a long time ago - after Liverpool scored their third of the night - but Liverpool couldn't be happier with the way they have played. This has set down a marker for them.
Liverpool have made a number of changes but they are still doing a good job of pressing the Barcelona centre backs. It means they often have to just lump it long!
Markovic faces a big season at Liverpool. He was loaned out last season, but he's someone who could be of some use to Klopp. Will he get a chance at the club this term?
Messi has also been brought off by Enrique for the final 10 minutes or so of this match. The Argentine playmaker didn't have his best game, but then he hardly got any service all night.
Barcelona sub: Luis Suarez OFF, Rafa Mujica ON.
Barcelona have a little longer before their league season starts, but they do have Super Copa games against Sevilla to play and Enrique will be concerned with this performance.
Lovren has also been excellent for Liverpool this evening, with the centre back this time timing his tackle brilliantly to deny Suarez as he took aim to try and reduce the deficit.
Klopp is now ringing the changes from the bench. Ings has come on with Mane being brought off. The new man has done enough to earn himself a spot for next week's game.
MANE COMES CLOSE! The new signing from Southampton has been excellent this evening, and this time he curls a shot just past the Barcelona post. He looks dangerous every time he gets the ball!
Of course, Liverpool start their Premier League campaign against Arsenal next week and Klopp will have been very pleased with what he has seen from his side here. Wenger, not so much.
The life has been sucked from this game since Liverpool scored their third goal. With the match now lost I get the feeling Barcelona are now treating this as a training exercise.
Mascherano gets a warm reception from the Liverpool fans as they comes off to be replaced by Pique. The Argentine was credited with an own goal. It wasn't Henderson's after all.
Barcelona sub: Javier Mascherano OFF, Gerard Pique ON.
Barcelona seemed to have gained a bit more of the match in the last few moments, but they aren't really doing much with the ball to hurt Liverpool. The Reds are comfortable.
Clyne did really well to make sure that Suarez didn't get his head on the end of a cross at the back post. He kept his eye on the ball and made the clearance under pressure.
Now Messi is dropping as deep as Barcelona's defence to receive the ball and drive through the pitch. Nobody in the final third is getting the kind of servive they need.
Stewart has been excellent since he came on at the half time break. Liverpool in general have been exceptional in the second half. Barcelona haven't been able to deal with them!
Messi needs to get himself involved in the game, although with the scoreline at 30 to the opposing side it's debateable whether the Argentine really has he heart for the fightback.
FIRMINO SHOULD HAV SCORED! Moreno set the Brazilian attacker through on goal, but he could only send his side-footed shot past the far post when he should have found the net.
Barcelona have hardly been able to get out of their own half at the start of the second half. Liverpool have been so dangerous whenever they attack. They could score a few more.
It's only a pre-season game, but this performance sets a precedent for what Liverpool should expect from themselves for the season ahead. This should be their strategy.
This is hugely encouraging for Liverpool. They are at a more advanced stage of their pre-season than Barcelona, but still, the Anfield side have been exceptional at the national stadium so far.
- GoalDivock Origi
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Liverpool 3 (49 mins - Divock Origi) Barcelona 0. There's a third goal and a second one within just two minutes. This time Origi is sent through on goal and the Belgian makes no mistake in finishing past Bravo.
Great start to the second half by Liverpool, but the defensive play from the Spanish champions was really slack. Mathieu gave the ball away too easily. Mane took that chance!
- GoalJordan Henderson
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Liverpool 2 (47 mins - Jordan Henderso) Barcelona 0. Henderson has scored with his first involvement! Mane is the one who does the damage, cutting back for the midfielder who bundles home the finish.
Both sides have made changes at the break. Jordan Henderson has come on for Liverpool, with Claudio Bravo replacing Marc-Andre Ter Stegen for Barcelona at half-time.
The second half is under way at Wembley Stadium! Liverpool hold a 1-0 lead over Barcelona.
What did you make of the first half at Wembley Stadium? Could Liverpool be challengers for the Premier League title? Do Barca need to make some changes? Tweet me!
HALF-TIME: Liverpool 1-0 Barcelona. Mane's goal is the difference between the two sides at the break. The Reds have probably been the better of the two teams in the first half.
Just one minute of stoppage time to be played at the end of the first half.
That's slightly concerning for Liverpool. Milner has been taken off just before the half time break. He has been struggling with a knock. They'll be hoping that's not a serious one.
Liverpool sub: James Milner OFF, Alberto Moreno ON.
SUAREZ OPPORTUNITY! The striker controls a cross into the box, losing his marker, but Mignolet does well to close the angle and make the save to keep Liverpool 1-0 ahead.
Mane has been the best player on the pitch so far. He's been willing to dig in with the defensive side of the game as well, this time winning a freekick as he tracked back for the Reds.
For the most Liverpool have dealt well with the threat posed by Suarez. The Uruguayan plays the same way in every match, but so far he has been kept quiet. He hasn't had a shot yet.
Well, that's unusual. A sprinkler has sprung from the Wembley Stadium pitch and is spraying over the players. And they're playing on! I mean, it's a warm day in London, but not that warm!
That was almost the quintessential Suarez goal! He came very close to bundling his way through the tackles of three Liverpool players, but the ball is cleared just before he can take the shot.
Vidal is having real trouble with the pace of Coutinho down the left side. The Barcelona full-back is basically allowing him to surge past him at will. Countinho is doing some real damage.
COUTINHO BLASTS OVER! The Brazilian playmaker bursts in behind the Barcelona backline, cuts inside to take the shot but gets it all wrong and fires well over the target.
Denis feels he should have been given a freekick for what he perceived to be a foul by Klavan. Indeed, the defender did seem to flatten him after a cheeky little nutmeg piece of skill.
MIGNOLET MAKES THE STOP! Suarez shoots at goal, with his effort picking up a deflection, but the keeper makes the save and Milner is on hand to deal with the rebound.
Liverpool were dealt a blow before the match when it was revealed that Daniel Sturridge has suffered a hip injury. The striker has such rotten luck with injuries. Terrible news for him.
It's still only pre-season, but you can already see that this Liverpool team are much more comfortable in the final third with the new signings. Barcelona have been placed under threat.
You get the feeling that Barcelona are starting to find their passing groove. They might be behind but they are beginning to take control of the contest. Liverpool are having to defend.
That's what makes Messi so dangerous. He had been almost languid for the opening 25 minutes of this match, and then he just burst into life. Liverpool lucky to still be level.
OFF THE POST! Having done nothing up until this point Messi rattles the far post after beating Mignolet with a low shot across goal. Some really nice passing play to set up the chance.
All the while Messi has done very little. In fact, the Argentine playmaker seems to be strolling around the pitch with his hands on his hips. He's taking it easy, is the Barcelona number 10.
Both Mane and Wijnaldum look settled in this Liverpool team already. The two of them look like they have been coached by Klopp for years. Very good signs!
Barcelona are now doing their best to calm down the flow of this game, passing the ball around the backline. Busquets has dropped deep to claim the ball and spray it around.
Milner robs Suarez of the ball and a roar goes up around Wembley. Of course, this is the first time the midfielder has played since he announced his retirement from international duty.
Taking into add ons, Mane could actually turn out to be the most expensive player in Liverpool's history. On this basis, though, he looks very good value for that sort of money.
Liverpool deserve their lead. They have been the better side in these opening 2 minutes or so. Barcelona are struggling to cope with the high pressing game they are being faced with.
What a way to start your Liverpool career! The Reds were excellent at pressing Barcelona when they had the ball and they got their reward. Great finish from Mane as well.
- GoalSadio Mané
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Liverpool 1 (15 mins - Sadio Mane) Barcelona 0. What an exceptional goal! Mane scores his first Liverpool goal, smashing a finish high into the net after some nice passing from Lallana and Firmino.
It's interesting that Arda is starting for Barcelona tonight. He actually started for them against Leicester City during the week as well, despite the fact he is on the transfer list.
Liverpool have been busy in the transfer market this summer. Mane starts today along with Wijnaldum. Both players will give the Reds a bit more threat in the final third. Good additions.
However, they have added Denis to their squad, with Andre Gomes also signed from Valencia. The Portuguese midfielder will give them a bit more drive through the middle.
Munir is starting up front alongside Messi and Suarez, but Barcelona have actualy struggled this season to find a striker to provide back-up to their MSN. They have drawn a blank.
After a strong start from the side in red it's Barcelona who are now taking a grip of the ball and are passing it around themselves. They are starting to take control of the contest.
Of course, this match sees Suarez play against his former club. He was good when he was a Liverpool player, but he has been even better since he joined Barcelona two seasons ago.
However, with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United all buying well this summer it's possible that Liverpool could find themselves squeezed out at the top.
Expectations are high at Liverpool this season. Klopp has now had time to mould this squad in his own identity and the Anfield club are targeting a top four place in the Premier League.
CHANCE FOR LIVERPOOL! The Reds have started the better of the two sides and with their first shot on goal Wijnaldum volleys over the bar after controlling a cross on his chest.
You'll Never Walk Alone rings around the national stadium as this match gets under way. This will be a real test for Liverpool ahead of the start of the Premier League season next week.
We're under way at Wembley Stadium! It's Liverpool against Barcelona in the International Champions Cup.
