Gareth Bale will miss Real Madrid’s second leg of their Champions League quarter final against Bayern Munich with a calf injury.
The Welsh forward sustained the injury in last week’s 2-1 victory in the Allianz Arena, and is set to be replaced by Isco – who starred in Saturday’s win in Gijon, scoring twice.
Marca, AS and Mundo Deportivo all reported on their front pages on Monday that fan pressure is likely to see the former Malaga star start in the crucial clash at the Bernabeu, with James Rodriguez, Marcos Asensio and Lucas Vazquez set to miss out.
Keylor Navas is set to return as goalkeeper after being rested for Saturday’s 3-2 win in Asturias, with a back four of Dani Carvajal, Sergio Ramos, Nacho Fernandez and Marcelo.
Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Casemiro will form the midfield three with Isco assisting Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo up front.
