England B to face Albania

The FA have confirmed that England B will face Albania on May 25th.

There had been speculation that a second-string England side would play ahead of the friendly at the new Wembley against Brazil on June 1st and Euro 2008 qualifier against Estonia in Tallinn on June 6th.

Newcastle striker Michael Owen is tipped to be given a run-out after his recovery from injury.

The match will be played on Turf Moor, Burnley's ground and is unlikely to feature any players from England's top three clubs due to the FA Cup final (Chelsea and Manchester United) and Champions League final (Liverpool v Milan) taking place soon before.
