Isco took a swipe at Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane after his hat-trick for Spain against Argentina.

The Real Madrid midfielder was the star of the show as Spain thrashed Argentina 6-1 in Madrid, grabbing his first senior hat-trick.

Isco, who has failed to nail down a regular starting spot at the Santiago Bernabeu, was full of praise for Spain coach Julen Lopetegui and also took a thinly-veiled dig at club manager Zinedine Zidane.

"I have the confidence of the coach and maybe in Madrid, I have not won that yet," he told reporters after the match.

"That's why the national is so important for me as it gives me life, if I am not starting and don't have continuity for the club then I must seize all my chances.

"There are many great players at Real Madrid, maybe I am the problem."
