Philippe Coutinho got on the scoresheet as Brazil put in an impressive second-half display to beat Russia 3-0 in Moscow.
Miranda opened the scoring in the 54th minute when he bundled the ball into the net after goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev spilt it at his feet.
Coutinho doubled the lead from the penalty spot just eight minutes later after Aleksandr Golovin had brought down Paulinho in the box.

The Barcelona midfielder then sealed the win with a goal himself, heading into an empty net following a fine run and cross from Chelsea's Willian.

TALKING POINT

Neymar-less Brazil impress but Jesus fluffs his audition. As a warm-up exercise, this could hardly have gone better for Brazil coach Tite, who fielded his strongest available XI and was rewarded with a professional, if a little sluggish, performance. Tite has gone so far as to name the majority of the team that will start the Selecao's opening World Cup game against Switzerland on 19 June but the position of Neymar's deputy remains up for grabs.

Manchester City's Gabriel Jesus was handed an opportunity to make it his own in Moscow, starting as the central striker between Willian and Douglas Costa ahead of Liverpool's in-form Roberto Firmino. But Jesus failed to make the most of his big audition, fluffing a glorious chance inside five minutes when he fired straight at Russia goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev and failing to make the most of two more openings in the first half.
The young forward was typically lively and involved but a makeshift Russian defence was there for the taking and he lacked a cutting edge in the final third – admittedly in common with his team-mates before Miranda's opener. Mid-way through the second half, Jesus was replaced by Firmino, having been subdued since the interval, and he may look back on this match as an opportunity missed to make himself the first replacement for main-man Neymar.

MAN OF THE MATCH

Paulinho (Brazil). The former Tottenham midfielder missed a golden chance to make it 2-0 when he somehow scooped Coutinho's cutback straight at Akinfeev in a moment that will have raised a reminiscent smile among Spurs fans. But he made amends moments later, bursting into the box to win the penalty, and he added gloss to the result by nodding home Brazil's third goal.
