Benito Carbone says that he would love to sign with Adelaide United of the Australian A-League.
The former Sheffield Wednesday and Aston Villa attacking midfielder played a three-game guest stint with Sydney United last year, which included a man-of-the-match performance against Adelaide.
Carbone has now issued a "come and get me plea" to Adelaide as he searches for a more permanent move to Australia.
"I just want to play with a good club with good people and I can see that with Adelaide," Carbone told the Advertiser.
"I know that (Aurelio) Vidmar is the new coach and I have a lot of respect for him through his time in Europe.
"The club has been in preliminary talks with my agent and I'm hoping to secure something concrete with Adelaide."
Carbone says he has fond memories of how the Adelaide crowd reacted to his performance for Sydney in meeting between the two sides last year.
"It was a great experience, after the match I was honored with the amount of Adelaide supporters who liked what happened on the field," he said.
