Round-up: Hercules were relegated from La Liga after letting slip a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at home to Real Mallorca.
The club from Alicante are 19th on 34 points with two matches left, six points behind 17th-placed Getafe who hold the advantage in head-to-head meetings.
Midfielder Sendoa netted twice in the first half to put Hercules in control.
Two defensive lapses then allowed Mallorca to draw level through Victor and Pierre Webo in the 76th and 80th minutes, leaving Hercules to join bottom club Almeria in the second division next season.
Hercules won promotion last year, securing their first top-flight campaign in 13 years, but have gone straight back down despite having the likes of French striker David Trezeguet and Paraguay's Nelson Valdez in their ranks.
Real Zaragoza occupy the last relegation slot in 18th with 39 points, one behind Getafe and safety, after conceding a last-minute goal to lose 2-1 at Real Sociedad.
Valencia are third with 67 points after a 2-2 draw at Espanyol and Villarreal - who drew 0-0 with Almeria - fourth with 62 in the Champions League qualification spots.
