"Winning the Coupe de la Ligue was our objective before the start of the season" Marange told eurosport.com.
"It does not matter whether we play against Lyon or Le Mans," he continued, "it will be a great experience anyway, although playing in a final and not winning it is the worst, people only remember the champions."
The competition could be Bordeaux's route into Europe next season, having started so poorly this term that a Champions League place will be tough.
"That would be a huge bonus, to win a trophy and qualify for the UEFA Cup," Marange declared/
"It is not easy for us to play four competitions this season - in the two national cups, the Champions League and Ligue 1.
"But it is our job and we have to remain focused. Hopefully we can qualify again for the Champions League."
Marange is not noted for his goalscoring ability - indeed, his strike on Tuesday was his first ever senior goal.
The 20-year-old defender admitted that he "was helped by the pitch, which was poor and covered in sand.
"The bobble foiled the keeper - I only shot in his direction.
"Everybody always tells me to shoot more often, because I have decent ability. It is my first professional goal, and a very important one."
Despite his heroics, Marange is not banking on being selected for what would be the biggest match of his short career.
"I hope I have impressed coach Ricardo enough to start in the final," he said.
"We re going to play in a famous stadium, where France won the 1998 World Cup. It would be a dream come true."
