Almost three. The hosts break at pace with Gray completely skinning Flanagan. He fires a cross to the far post, but Slimani can't quite get there in time to finish it off.
Henderson lifts a free kick into the Leicester box, but it's easily headed to safety.

GOAL! It's two! Okazaki wriggles free on the right and plays it to Slimani, who drives inside and fires a stunning 25-yard shot into the top corner.
Ings reacts well to a deflected cross, but after racing to the near post in anticipation he fails to get any connection on an attempted header.
Gray whips a dangerosu free kick into the mix, but Ward comes and takes with real authority. Good hands from the keeper.
Okazaki bundled over and then caught in the face by the arm of Klavan. Yellow card for the Reds defender.
It's Ings' first appearance in 11 months!
LIVERPOOL CHANGE: Wijnaldum replaced by Ings.
CLOSE! Liverpool take a quick free kick. Woodburn races down the left, cuts in and curves a shot inches wide of the far post.
Three in five this term for Okazaki who has made a real impact since coming on. The Ulloa-Slimani partnership hadn't troubled Liverpool at all. But now, they look more nervy at the back.
Liverpool looking for an immediate response, but the Ox's shot on the turn flashes over from the edge of the box.

GOAL! The Foxes lead. Okazaki sees a shot from 10 yards deflect in via Robertson after Morgan had nodded back across goal. Liverpool pay the price for not making their early dominance count and for failing to deal with the second ball from a corner.
Albrighton surges forward on the overlap but Robertson sticks to his task and makes a solid recovery challenge. Corner ball.
Liverpool's travelling Kop are in strong voice. The supporters are having to entertain themselves at the moment...
It's much more even since the break, but it's really struggling as a spectacle right now. Really needs a goal...
CRACKING STAT: It is 45 years since the Foxes claimed three successive home win over Liverpool in all competitions....
Grujic booked for a real lunge at Ndidi.
That's given the home crowd a lift. They've not had much to sing about so far.
Gray breezes past Henderson, shifts it beyond Klavan and fizzes a low drive just wide of Ward's left-hand post from 25 yards.

FOXES CHANGE: A dazed Ulloa replaced by Okazaki.
Ulloa still on the sidelines as play resumes. A short corner is worked to Henderson, but his cross is easily dealt with.
Ulloa down after nodding away a corner. Looked rather inocuous... Meanwhile, Wijnaldum also needs treatment after getting a knee in the back from Hamer when leaping for a second ball into the area.
Another corner for the Ox... but it's another poor one.
Early free kick to the Foxes. Gray steps up but fires it way over the bar.

KICK OFF! Leicester restart the tie needing a much-improved display in this second period.

HT: Leicester 0-0 Liverpool. The Reds have carved out good openings and dominated the first 45, but it remains goalless at the interval.
CLOSE! Wonderful from Coutinho. He shapes to shoot as he cuts in from the left, but dinks a pass under pressure through for Solanke who can only lift onto the top of the netting as Hamer came flying out.
Liverpoolwill be disappointed to go in all square after bossing this first 45. In contrast, Craig Shakespare will be delighted.
Albrighton hangs a high ball, deep to the far post. Gray arrives but can't pickout a teammate with his nod back from the byline.
Coutinho sets it wide - but it keeps flying high and wide without any dip. The Foxes fans jeer but are no doubt relieved.
Coutinho with some lovely feet to draw a foul out of Iborra on the edge of the Leicester box. Dangerous position with Coutinho over it...
The Foxes have chance to hoist a high ball into the mixer from a deep fre kick, but take it short. It's eventually lifted towards Morgan, but he can't make anything of it.
Play restarts with Leicester on the attack.
Play has been halted for the players to receive treatment, but they should be OK to continue.
Chilwell and Solanke both struggling a bit after a full-blooded coming together.
Oxlade Chamberlain takes a right-wing corner - and it's woeful. It's low and lacks pace and is easily hacked to safety by the first man at the near post.
Liverpool picking Leciester pockets in and around their own area, but struggling to find the path to goal for a clear-cut strike.
Gray breezes beyond Flanagan but his curving cross towards the far post is snatched out of the air by Ward.
Oxlade Chamberlain drives in from the right and has a pop that Hamer is down well to save.
Coutinho lines up another attempt from range, but Dragovic blocks and it loops up into the air for Hamer to come and claim.
It's one-way traffic. Leicester need to change something or a Liverpool goal is inevitable.
How has that not gone in? Robertson arrives late on the left of the area and fizzes a low ball across the goalmouth that Coutinho can't get enough on to divert it into the net from close range.
Klopp pleased with what he's seen so far - but they need an end product...
The Ox probes on the right and finds the overalapping Coutinho, but his floated cross from the byline fails to pick out a teammate.

Robertson with another sensational cross from the left. It's begging to be converted, but Solanke can only guide over on the stretch at the far post.
The Ox cuts a ball back to the edge of the box for Coutinho, who dummies it nicely... but there's no-one running onto it. Let off for the Foxes after Chilwell's poor header had put the hosts in trouble.
Gray drifts beyond Gomez but doesn't catch his 25-yard shot right and it's easy enough for Ward to gather.
STAT: This is Wijnaldum's 50th appearance for the Merseysiders.
Poor from the Ox. Wijnaldum bursts forward on the counter. It breaks to Grujic who feeds the former Arsenal man on the right, but his delivery is over-cooked and flies harmlessly behind.
Coutinho attacking from deep once more. He plays a slick one-two with Solanke and fizzes in a low drive that is too close to Hamer.
The corner comes to nothing. Leciester non-existant as an attacking force so far.
Superb from Gomez. He doesn't give up on a lost cause and chases a ball deep into the Leicester box. He gets a foot to it at a tight angle and forces Hamer to block it behind.
Coutinho dropping deep and probing Iniesta-like before being caught late by Albrighton. Lots of possession for the Reds - but can they make it count?
Coutinho jinks in from the left, twisting and turning past a couple of defenders before seeing his curving shot pushed away by Hamer.
The home side haven't kept a clean sheet in any of their last 12 League Cup games... They are looking shaky at the moment too.
Liverpool looking lively. Robertson marauds down the left once more and fires in a decent cross that no-one in a red shirt moves to attack.

CLOSE! Robertson overlaps on the left and lays a low cross towards Oxlade Chamberlain, who sees his goalbound shot deflect behind of Chilwell. Leicester struggle to defend the ensuing set piece and Solanke drills across the face of goal from a narrow angle.
Good hands from Ward who plucks the resultant corner from the left out of the air. That's settle any early nerves for the stopper.
Leicester first to show as they earn a corner on the right. It's delivered deep towards Morgan, but Grujic and Flanagan do enough to get it behind for another set piece.
HEAD-TO-HEAD: Liverpool secured a 4-1 victory in what is the only other League Cup clash back in 1986. Steve McMahon grabbed a hat-trick and Kenny Dalglish got the other for the Reds, who went on to lose to Arsenal in the final.

Klopp on the Ox and is other fringe players: "It's a fantastic opportunity now for Alex. We have a lot of players who are in good shape but have not had the match time - for example Grujic made a big step in development. We have enough games for the players to get rhythm. It's not easy early in the season."
Liverpool’s return to the Champions League means this is their first match in the competition this term. It’s a trophy they have fond memories of, having lifted it a record eight times. Leicester have won it three times and set up rhis showdown with a 4-1 success at Sheffield United in round two.
Liverpool enjoyed a promising start to the new season, but are winless in their last three. Their defensive deficiencies seen pundits and some 'fans' jumping at the chance to lay into Jurgen Klopp and Co.

Liverpool make eight changes from the 1-1 home draw with Burnley. Summer signings Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Dominic Solanke make their full debuts while Danny Ward is given a chance between the sticks. Joe Gomez also features in his preferred position of centre back.
It's all change for both sides. Leicester make seven with only captain Wes Morgan, Ben Chilwell, Wilfred Ndidi and Marc Albrighton remaining from the weekend draw at Huddersfield. Vicente Iborra makes his first start since joining from Sevilla, as does on-loan Bayer Leverkusen defender Aleksandar Dragovic.
