A Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick inspired Real Madrid to a 7-3 win over Getafe in La Liga.
There were six goals in the first half. Ronaldo headed Real ahead from a Marcelo cross, but Getafe then took the lead with goals from Escudero and then Castro, both beating Iker Casillas at his far post. Ronaldo equalised with a fine free kick, and got his hat-trick when Javier Hernandez was tripped in the box.
It seemed like Real would take control of the game at that point, but Lacen lashed home when Real failed to clear from a corner.
In the second half, Real went back ahead when Hernandez followed up a rebound from Ronado heading against the crossbar. James Rodriguez made it five with a superb close-range free kick, finding the top corner.
Martin Odegaard was able to make his debut to become Real's youngest ever player before the hosts got their sixth when Jese fired in after a one-two with Rodriguez. Marcelo made it seven in injury time.

TALKING POINT
The Real crowd's applause for Iker Casillas is a bit rich now. Casillas has been booed throughout the season. He hasn't done anything immoral, he hasn't been unpleasant to the fans, but he has played to the best of his abilities for more than a decade for the club. And yet, they are happy to turn on him whenever the mood takes them. Their final show of respect in the match, when he is due to be replaced, felt a bit false.
