Real Madrid confirm Rodrygo transfer for 2019

European champions Real Madrid have confirmed that they have reached an agreement with Santos over the transfer of Rodrygo.

The forward, 17, has been a revelation for Santos since making his debut at the age of 16 last season and has scored five goals in nine Brazilian league matches this season.
He had been linked to a number of big European clubs but Real have won the race for his signature in a deal that is reported to be worth €45 million.
He will join Real in July 2019 even though he would be 18 during the January 2019 transfer window.
He becomes the second Brazilian starlet to agree a move to Real after Vinícius Júnior signed for them last summer.
