Ajax wonderkid Frenkie De Jong has reportedly agreed to join Barcelona over Manchester City or Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

The Netherlands international will reportedly agree an £79m deal which will see him join Barca at the end of the season.

De Jong, 21, is said to have informed both PSG and City of his decision.

Agent Ali Dursun reportedly told the two superclubs: “Thanks for your interest, but Frenkie goes to Barca.”

According to reports across the continent, Barca’s offer of €90m trumped the €75m on offer from PSG.

City were also strongly linked with a move for the player who was seen as a possible long-term replacement for Fernandinho.
