Football news - Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema denies kidnap claims

The Real Madrid and France forward took to Twitter to refute the allegations against him, tweeting: “A relative of Benzema touches De Souza’s arm, it is an abduction,” adding, “De Souza is beaten up, but he has no days off work.”

The 30-year-old continued: “De Souza says that Benzema was in the van, this is dismissed by investigators,” signing off with, “Is this world serious? #Ithastostop #Givemeabreak #toomuch.”

It was reported that Leo D’Souza claimed he had been the victim of an attempted abduction on October 7, when he says a van pulled up and a man he said he recognised as a friend of Benzema attacked him after he refused to get into the van.
