That result will surely end Real Madrid's hopes of winning La Liga given that a 12-point gulf now stands between the Catalans and the capital club. That's an interesting change from Valverde. Barcelona have played the last 10 minutes on the counter attack and Dembele's pace allowed them to play in that way. Coutinho doesn't have that.

Real Madrid are desperate now. They are seeing plenty of the ball, but Barcelona look quite content just sitting back, absorbing and then hitting out on the rapid counter attack.

The issues between Isco and Solari have been well documented all season long, so it's somewhat ironic that the latter has called upon the former to save him with 14 minutes of this game left.
