Sliced well over! The ball nicely for Jovic just inside the box, but the Serbian striker gets it all wrong and his sliced shot ends up on the roof of the Cadiz net. Is that the final opportunity?
There will be three minutes of stoppage time played at the end of the match.
Asensio sends a deep cross into the penalty area, but Ledesma comes to collect and time is quickly running out for Real Madrid here. We are heading into stoppage time...
Is there one last chance left in this match for Real Madrid? The second half has been much more positive, but they dug themselves such a deep hole in the opening 45 minutes.
That's great attacking play from Malbasic who wins a corner kick after going one-on-one with Varane down the left wing. That was the best outcome he could have hoped for.
This has been a struggle of a match for Real Madrid, but there is finally a sense that they are turning the screw on the away side. Cadiz are going to have to do some defending to see this out.
Off the crossbar! Benzema shoots from the edge of the opposition penalty area, he struck it well, he beat Ledesma, but the ball comes back off the woodwork and Cadiz survive!
GOOOOOOOOOOOO... NO! Real Madrid have the ball in the back of the net, but the goal has been disallowed. Benzema knocked it down for Jovic to convert, but the Frenchman was offside.

There's the change we expected with Jovic coming on, and it's Kroos who comes off!
- OffJosé MariCádiz CF

A second change for the away side as Garrido comes on for the final 10 minutes.
It looks like Zidane is about to make a fifth and final change here. Jovic is stripped and ready to come on. He will surely partner Benzema rather than replace the Frenchman.
Vinicius overhits the cross to the back post and that sums up how Real Madrid have failed to come up with a final product even when they have found themselves in dangerous positions.
Real Madrid need to try something different here. They are so stagnant in the final third and Cadiz are finding it so easy to repel their efforts to break down the away side. Comfortable.
Jovic is warming up for Real Madrid on the touchline. The Serbian has featured twice so far this season and could help open up this low defensive block from Cadiz.
PICTURE: Can Vinicius come up with something?
Nacho foul! Casemiro clips a ball to the back post where Nacho is making the late run into the box. Nacho tests Ledesma with the header, but he was adjudged to have fouled his brother, Alex.
20 minutes left of this match and there is finally some urgency to Real Madrid's play, although they still look pretty weary. The internationals have really taken it out of them!
He has been pretty solid so far this evening, but that last Real Madrid opportunity suggests Ledesma is starting to get a bit shaky. He opened the door for Vinicius.
Vinicius heads wide! The cross from Kross from the left wing was a good one, Vinicius got there ahead of Ledesma, but the Brazilian could only head wide of the target on the stretch.
Benzema has only managed one shot so far this evening while Cadiz centre back Cala has managed THREE! That illustrates the issues Real Madrid have had in this match.
It's just not happening for Real Madrid at the moment. You can never count them out. Under Zidane, they have become renowned for scoring late goals, but Los Blancos are struggling.
Benzema attempts to clip through a pass to Marcelo, but the ball bounces out for a goal kick. It hasn't been the French striker's night so far. He has struggled to carry a goal threat.
The TV cameras show Ramos sat in the stands at the Estadio Alfredo di Stefano with an ice pack on his knee. That's not a good sign for Real Madrid ahead of next week's match.
As I have already mentioned a couple times, Real Madrid have Barcelona in El Clasico next week. This hasn't exactly been the best preparation for that match so far. Pretty poor.
The changes made at half time have given Real Madrid more control of possession, but there is still a sense that Cadiz are the ones dictating this match. They look pretty comfortable.
Another header wide! Not for the first time tonight, Negredo gets on the end of a cross into the middle, but he glances his header wide of the far post. He has caused so many problems.
Real Madrid need to get the ball to Vinicius as often as they can. The Brazilian is unpolished and raw, but he makes things happen in the final third. He offers a bit of chaos.
Vinicius shoots over! The Real Madrid winger cuts inside on to his right foot just inside the Cadiz penalty box, but sends his strike over the bar when he should have hit the target.
This has been more positive from Real Madrid at the start of the second half, but for all the possession they are enjoying they are struggling to create much in front of goal.
The duel between Marcelo and Negredo is one to keep an eye on. The two players have spent much of the match winding each other up. They need to keep their cool.
Cadiz have a 1-0 lead and in truth they could have been further ahead at the end of the first half. Will they sit a bit deeper for the second half to protect what they have or attack for more?
PICTURE: Cadiz's forwards have caused all sorts of problems
Of course, the last time Varane played at the back alongside Militao he suffered one of his worst ever games in a Real Madrid shirt in the Champions League against Manchester City.
The withdrawal of Ramos at the interval suggests Zidane already has one eye on next week's Clasico against Barcelona which has the potential to set the tone for their whole season.
This happened towards the end of the first half!
Zidane has rung the changes for the start of the second half. He has made four subs! Ramos, Vazquez, Isco and Modric all come off to be replaced by Militao, Casemiro, Asensio and Valverde.
The second half is under way! Cadiz have a 1-0 lead over Real Madrid in this La Liga fixture!
- End of 1st Half
HALF TIME: Real Madrid 0-1 Cadiz. What a first half from the away side. Cadiz have the lead, but it could have been more than just 1-0. They have had so many good opportunities. The upset is on.
There will be one minute of stoppage time played at the end of the match.
Courtois blunder! You don't see the Real Madrid goalkeeper make many mistakes like that! Courtois takes his eye off the ball, he allows the ball bounce through his hands, but Lozano couldn't react quickly enough.
It's just all so stodgy from Real Madrid at the moment. Everything they are doing is done at half pace. Zidane needs to find a way to get his team up to full pace. This isn't going well.
Vinicius overhead! Marcelo gets to the byline, cuts back a lofted cross, Isco heads it down, but Vinicius sends an overhead kick wide. That was a difficult chance for the Brazilian.
That was impressive from Sanchez. We all know how fast Varane is, but the Cadiz midfielder beat him to the ball there. Real Madrid still look unsettled at the back.
VARANE... so close! That was easily the closest Real Madrid have come in this first half. Varane gets on the end of a corner kick delivery into the box, he had a free header, but guides wide of the post!
PICTURE: Lozano's goal is the difference
Ramos is fortunate there. The officials aren't going to take any further action against the Real Madrid captain. Ramos is having an eventful match, to put it lightly. Involved in a lot.
- Yellow cardSergio RamosReal Madrid
Ramos gets away with one! The Real Madrid captain is shown a yellow card despite kicking out at Lozano. Could Ramos be in some trouble here? They are looking at the VAR tape.
Wild from Kroos! That illustrates the desperation from Real Madrid. The opportunity wasn't there for the shot, but the German midfielder takes it on anyway and fires high and wide.
Cadiz's game plan couldn't be working any better. Real Madrid still haven't figured out how to deal with their two strikers. Negredo is winning almost every battle against Ramos and Varane.
Should have been two! A huge opportunity for Cadiz to double their advantage with Lozano in behind, but Courtois makes the save low down to prevent the forward a second. What a chance.
This was the goal...
Ramos is down! The Real Madrid captain ran into the back of Lozano and he has crumpled to the ground. Ramos looks to have done some damage there. He's holding his knee.
Benzema has barely had a touch of the ball in the opening 30 minutes of this match. The Frenchman has been a peripheral figure, with Real Madrid struggling to feed him.
Real Madrid should perhaps consider themselves lucky. They seem to have finally settled into the match, but they really should be 3-0 down rather than just 1-0 down.
The goalline clearance from Ramos early on...
Wayward from Kroos! The space opened up for Kroos about 20 yards out on the edge of the box, but his strike was wayward and Ledesma can watch that flash over the Cadiz crossbar.
Modric must take a grip of things in the centre of the pitch. Cadiz have been so strong in attack that Real Madrid have had very little of the ball in the opposition half. Modric can create.
PICTURE: Big chance for Isco to impress
Zidane has to be concerned with what he has seen from his team in the opening 20 minutes of this match. They are lacking structure all over the pitch. Far too fluid. Very strange.
Real Madrid have started this match soooo slowly. They just haven't been able to get into the game so far and Cadiz are in the mood to brutally expose that. Los Blancos all over the place.
- GoalAnthony LozanoCádiz CF
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Real Madrid 0 Cadiz 1 (17 mins - Anthony Lozano). They deserve that! Cadiz have taken the lead! Negredo knocked a lofted pass into the pass of Lozano and the forward shows great composure to clip a finish over the Belgian goalkeeper! What an astonishing start from the away side! They have been dominant!
Another Negredo header! The former Real Madrid striker gets up well to get on the end of a cross into the middle, but he couldn't get up high enough and glances wide of the far post.
Another big Courtois save! Cadiz are all over Real Madrid at the moment! Cala dribbles through the opposition midfield and gets the low strike away, but Courtois makes the diving save!
Negredo wide! Alex breaks down the right side and gets the cross into the middle. Negredo headed towards goal, but heads wide. That was a good chance for the former Manchester City striker!
Real Madrid look a little surprised at what they have faced in these opening 15 minutes. Cadiz have been the better team and probably should have found the back of the net.
Vazquez shoots! The Real Madrid winger cuts inside from the right and gets the shot away on goal, but the effort flashes over the target. Ledesma watched that one comfortably.
Cadiz were this close to going ahead!
Kroos has suffered a poor start to the game. His poor pass created the chance for Negredo early on and he was also partially to blame for that last opportunity for Lozano.
Headed wide! Cala gets on the end of the corner kick delivery into the middle, but glances it wide. Real Madrid need to get a grip of things at the back. They are sleeping!
Courtois with the save! Cadiz get in behind the Real Madrid defence, but Lozano's shot is straight at Courtois and the Belgian goalkeeper beats the ball away. The home side haven't started well!
This is a big opportunity for Isco. He wasn't included in the Spain squad over the international break and so in theory he should be one of Real Madrid's fresher players.
Still no Hazard for Real Madrid. The Belgian has yet to play his first game of the new season. Familiar problems for a player who is quickly becoming a flop in the Spanish capital.
Casemiro played a lot of football on the other side of the Atlantic over the international break. That explains why he's not playing today, but how badly will Real Madrid miss him?
Well, that was a warning for Real Madrid. The chance came from a loose Kroos pass on the edge of the box and Negredo was on it in a flash. He can cause problems. A handful.
Off the line! Almost a shock opener for the away side within the first few minutes! Negredo slid a finish underneath Courtois, it was heading for the back of the net, but Ramos was back to make an astonishing clearance!
Cadiz have been very impressive in the away matches they have played so far this season, beating Athletic Club on the road last time out. This task will be somewhat tougher, though.
- 1st Half
The match is under way! It's Real Madrid against Cadiz in this La Liga fixture at Valdebebas!
Okay, here we go. We are about to get started at the Estadio Alfredo di Stefano. Kick off is just moments away.
The teams are out at Valdebebas. The substitutes are in the stands. A cold, but dry, evening in the Spanish capital.
Casemiro and Valverde dropped for Real Madrid tonight, but Kroos and Modric continue in midfield.
Not long until kick off at the Estadio Alfredo di Stefano in Valdebebas, where Real Madrid have been playing while the Santiago Bernabeu is undergoing redevelopment work.
Homecoming! Negredo starts up front for Cadiz against the club whose youth academy he came through. He has the pedigree and physicality to give Real Madrid's defence some problems.
Vazquez is back in the Real Madrid side this evening. The winger has long been a favourite of Zidane's. Is this a sign the Frenchman is looking for some more forward thrust from his team?
I'm Graham Ruthven and you can catch me on Twitter ahead of the match to let me know your thoughts. Will this be a straightforward match for Real Madrid or can Cadiz cause an upset? Tweet me!
Odegaard not even on the bench! The Norwegian youngster started the season in the Real Madrid lineup having impressed on loan at Real Sociedad last season, but Zidane is once again favouring the experienced heads in the centre of his midfield.
