Elche are giving this a go at the start of the second half, but they are lacking in quality in the attacking third. A better team might have found the back of the net by now.

GAVI... just wide! A well-worked move on the edge of the Elche penalty area sees Gavi presented with a shooting opportunity 20 yards out, but his effort flashes wide of the post.

Close call! A poor header back to Ter Stegen gave Perez the chance to find the back of the net, but the Elche forward shoots wide of the target when he probably should have scored.

There has been a good tempo and intensity to Barcelona's play this evening. Will they be able to keep that up for the full 90 minutes, though, or will they fade at some point?

Can Barcelona press home their advantage in this second period? They have been in control of this match and Xavi will surely want to see a couple more goals from his team.

While Barcelona have played well in the midfield and the attacking third of the pitch, there's still a sense that their high line isn't quite right. It's giving Elche a chance.
