Finally, onto the visitors. On the teamsheet, it looks as though it's a 4-3-3, although it could easily transition into a 4-5-1 in the defensive phase. Experience bleeds through the backline with the centre-back pairing of Shkodran Mustafi and Sergio Postigo, flanked by Jorge Miramon and Carlos Clerc on either side. Nemanja Radoja will sit as the lone anchor, with the physical presences of Pepelu and Gonzalo Melero to give their engine room some bite. Roger Marti will lead the line and look to occupy Pique and Garcia, ideally spinning in behind the veteran and isolating the former Manchester City central defender. He'll be supported from the wide areas by Dani Gomez and Jorge de Frutos.
14:25
Another way Barca could play it is with Coutinho on his favoured left flank, with Depay slightly more direct off the right. In turn, that'd allow for both wide forwards to be closer to de Jong, feeding off his link-up play and his knock-downs. Expect plentiful energy from the newbies in midfield, with the more relaxed presence of Busquets to calm things down in the middle. Mingueza and Dest could be exposed though as makeshift full-backs.
14:21
The hosts have been forced into deploying Oscar Miingueza at right-back, with traditional number 2 Sergino Dest off the left of defence instead to cover for the injured Alba. Eric Garcia partners Gerard Pique ahead of Marc-Andre ter Stegen, and the midfield three consists of Nico Gonzalez and Gavi, 19 and 17 years of age respectively, flanking the veteran Sergio Busquets. The front three lines up as Memphis Depay and his compatriot Luuk de Jong alongside Philippe Coutinho, although where the Brazilian will actually play remains to be seen: on paper he could play off the right, but that wouldn't suit his game. de Jong and Depay could play up top together with the former Liverpool and Inter man tucked in behind them, and that seems the most likely of solutions.

It's an enforced few selections that Ronald Koeman has had to make as the Barcelona squad has been decimated by injury; with key men Jordi Alba, Frenkie de Jong, and Martin Braithwaite all sidelined, but there is some consolation with Ansu Fati returning from his knock to make the subs bench alongside more notable names Clement Lenglet, Samuel Umtiti, Ronald Araujo and Ricard Puig, although his involvment was heavily scepticised before the line-ups were announced.

I say we crack on and dissect these line-ups, don't you?
