There is still a sense that Real Madrid could do with a more commanding central defender to play alongside Alaba at the back, but Militao has done a decent job for them so far.

Alaba has to be one of the best signings of the season in La Liga. The Austrian is already considered one of Real Madrid’s best players. He gives them so much control at the back.

This match could go either way. Real Madrid might have the edge due to home advantage, but Sevilla are in good form and are a strong side. They will want to snatch all three points.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez seems to be obsessed with the idea of taking Mbappe to the Santiago Bernabeu. He has waited years for his chance to sign the Frenchman.

Of course, there are still strong reports that Real Madrid will make their long-awaited move for Kylian Mbappe at the end of the season when he will be out of contract at Paris Saint-Germain.

It will be interesting to see what Real Madrid do in terms of transfers when the January window opens. There is a sense they might save their funds for the summer window.
