Valencia come close to a second but Oblak does well to come off his line and clear an inviting through ball.

It's gone down as a Stefan Savic own-goal! A ball is played in from the right and Oblak gets a hand to it but can only push it on to his team mate, who can't really do much about it but watch it bounce off his stomach and into the net, game on!

CHANCE! Atletico come close to adding to their lead! Antoine Griezmann, who has been relatively quiet so far, pops up unmarked in the area to latch onto Correa's inviting cross, but his header from close-range is guided over the bar.

Valencia enjoy a great spell as they string a number of passes together in the final third, but the eventual effort is wide of the target.

Valencia get forward, a ball from deep finds Jose Gaya inside the penalty box but his cross is a complete miss-hit.

Suarez picked the ball up as he was driving towards Diakhaby, took on his man and slotted the ball beyond Cillessen.

Chance Atletico! Carrasco carries the ball into the area and cuts in on his right foot, but his effort is in to the side netting.

Atletico lose possession deep inside their own half and Oblak is forced into a save from a speculative effort from 30 yards out, but it hardly troubles the goalkeeper.

Atletico get forward down the right-hand side but Correa's cross is easily dealt with by Diakhaby at the back post.

It's cleared and the rebound is hooked back into the box but Oblak clutches the ball out of the air.

Carrasco delivers a free-kick from deep but it's comfortably dealt with by Valencia.

Atletico are having a good spell here. They've had a couple of long-range effort denied but look to be getting on top of things now.
