Bolton forward El Hadji Diouf is interested in a move to French champions Lyon.

"He is interested in Lyon," his agent Alexandre Krstic said. "They are a big European club playing Champions League football.

"There's been contact with other Premier League sides, but Bolton have to accept [an offer] to talk to them."

Senegal man Diouf, 26, joined Bolton from Liverpool two seasons ago but the departure of his mentor Sam Allardyce to Newcastle has reportedly raised doubts in the fiery frontman.

Lyon, meanwhile, have cash to spend and are particularly keen to add attack-minded wide players to their ranks following the sale of Florent Malouda to Chelsea and an injury to striker Fred.

Les Gones won a sixth consecutive French league title last season while a late season poor run of form saw Bolton slip out of the Champions League qualification race.
