Wiltord nearing return
Lyon winger Sylvain Wiltord is closing in on a return to his former side Rennes after the two Ligue 1 clubs agreed a fee for his transfer.
The 33-year-old made his French league debut for the Brittany-based club back in the 1992-93 season and will go back after having spent three seasons at the Stade Gerland.
"We have reached an agreement with Rennes," Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas told the club's official website.
"Now Sylvain has to reach an agreement with them."
The France international won three titles with Lyon after having left Arsenal in 2004. He made 82 appearances for the French champions, scoring 20 times.
