Lille sign teenager Meite from Auxerre

Auxerre midfielder Soualiho Meite has signed a contract with Ligue 1 side Lille but has been loaned back to the Ligue 2 club until the summer.

The 18-year-old has put pen to paper on a four-and-a-half-year deal.

"It is with great pleasure that I sign for Lille, one of the largest French clubs," said Meite.

"I know how lucky I am to be here."

2010-11 champions Lille are 11th in the table while Auxerre, champions in 1995-96, are down in 12th in the second tier.
