Full time. Eventually easy, but Lyon will rue the early decisions from the referee. PSG made the most of their favoured treatment, and Edinson Cavani grabbed his 10th of the season.
Cavani tries a flick at the near post to turn in a cross, but this time it hits the side-netting.
- Own-goalJérémy MorelOlympique Lyonnais
GOAL! PSG 2-0 Lyon. Mbappe/Morel scores - Neymar slides a pass forward for Mbappe, he shoots past Lopes, who sticks out a leg and sends the ball against Morel to grab an own goal.
PSG look comfortable around their box as they drop deep under a little pressure.
- Yellow cardThiago SilvaParis Saint-Germain
Silva in the book for pushing over Fekir.
SAVED! Cavani drives a fierce strike at goal, Lopes pushes it against the woodwork and while Cavani claims it crossed the line, nothing is given.
PENALTY! Lo Celso wins a free kick on the right wing. Neymar takes the free kick to the back post, and Mendy is penalised for dragging Mbappe to the ground.
- Yellow cardNeymarParis Saint-Germain
Neymar is given a booking for blocking off a run.
GOAL! PSG 1-0 Lyon. Cavani scores - Lo Celso spins Tete to get room for a cross on the touchline. He picks out Cavani at the near post, and he flicks out a heel to send it past the 'keeper.
- OffLayvin KurzawaParis Saint-Germain
- OnYuri BerchicheParis Saint-Germain
Burchiche replaces Kurzawa. Depay's corner is claimed by Areola. The ref call for a foul before hand, but Areola clattered his head against the far post - he's alright to continue.
- OffJulian DraxlerParis Saint-Germain
- OnGiovani Lo CelsoParis Saint-Germain
Lo Celso replaces Draxler, and Martins Pereira replaces Ndombele.
Fekir curls a cross to the back post and Marcelo heads down for Areola to dive upon.
Lyon almost make the breakthrough. Tousart has a header flicked away as it bounced across the goal, and a moment later Ndomblele rifled a long range shot towards the goal, rattling the crossbar.
Lyon are sitting back much, much deeper. Perhaps their involvement in the Europa League has sapped their energy. Mbappe glances a header from an Alves cross, but it's easily stopped.
- OffMariano DíazOlympique Lyonnais
- OnMaxwell CornetOlympique Lyonnais
Cornet replaces Mariano.
Cavani's header is blocked, it comes out to him again to lash at goal from an angel - it's well wide.
Neymar is complaining about being whacked in the face by, I think, Marcelo. It's a nonsense, as it was obviously accidental.
Mbappe breaks down the right, eases past Morel's sliding tackle, and Marcelo comes across to block his effort, conceding a corner.
Neymar strikes a free kick from the edge of the box, and Areola pushes away his effort that curled around the wall.
- Yellow cardNabil FekirOlympique Lyonnais
Fekir gets a yellow for a cynical hack on Neymar on the edge of the box. He can't argue with that choice, but he might be wondering why the PSG players kicking lumps out of him didn't get the same punishment.
Mbappe keeps the ball in the corner brilliantly, and scoops a lovely pass inside for Alves, who scuffs his cross.
Nothing has happened, I'll level with you.
Neymar takes the free kick, 25 yards out. It's just to the left of the D, and it's straight into the wall.
Neymar gets dumped to the ground by Marcelo, and he's latest one to escape a booking. The ref's approach to the game is not one which meshes with the rules.
Jonathan Pearce is currently discussing disrobing in the commentary box.
- 2nd Half
The second half gets underway.
- End of 1st Half
That's half time. An evenly poised match, but Lyon seem to have more in their brains that PSG, for now.
- Yellow cardThiago MottaParis Saint-Germain
PSG get a player booked! It's Motta. He stuck a boot into Fekir as he glided past him in midfield.
Neymar sprints onto a through ball, jinks into the centre of the box and drills a shot across Lopes that he palms away confidently.
Ndomblele slips in Mariano, with just a defender to beat, but his pass to the left is far too hard for Memphis to get to, and it's out for a goal kick.
Lyon continue to stay compact, as television commentators say, but they're adept at the high press, as bloggers say.
Lyon have held their own, here. They are occasionally stretched at the back, but nothing desperate, considering the team they're up against.
Silva loops a header from a Neymar cross into the air, and Lopes claims.
Neymar slips in Alves inside the right-hand side of the box, he pulls one back, and Mendy gets the ball away while others panic.
Draxler is eased off the ball from Morel as he drives towards the touchline.
Fekir goes down writhing, and Rabiot has caught him late. Again the referee doesn't punish the PSG player properly, not giving a booking. This is getting absurd.
Draxler goes in with a high boot near Morel's face from a Neymar through ball. The referee gives a corner, and that's three wrong decisions he's made in favour of PSG so far.
Kimpembe is caught off the ball, but limps away and is OK to continue. This has been a sluggish start from PSG.
Traore is absolutely cleaned out by a late challenge, studs up from Rabiot, and he isn't given a yellow. That's a daft decision from the ref.
Lopes comes flying out to intercept a Rabiot ball to set Mbappe almost in control and one-on-one with the 'keeper.
Silva heads away a corner with Marcelo looming. Lyon have shown plenty of attacking intent so far.
Morel is robbed by Mbappe, and his heavy touch for a through-ball sees the danger pass for Lyon. Morel seems like a fun guy.
Fekir catches Neymar, and Neymar flicks out a leg in retaliation. He somehow isn't booked for it.
Tete isn't fooled by Neymar's flap on the edge of the box, as he simply toes the ball away.
Fekir is penalised for a foul while he harries the PSG defence.
Neymar attempts a shot on goal from a corner. He almost curls in his strike, but Lopes reacts quickly to palm it behind.
Mariano attempts a strike on goal from a free kick 35 yards out, and his effort towards the far bottom corner goes well wide.
Lyon have a spell of pressure high up the pitch near PSG's goal, but Mendy's cross is blocked by Mbappe, tracking back.
Tete's clearance puts Kimpembe under pressure from Fekir, but Fekir concedes a foul.
PSG take a free kick short in their own half. They're happy to play the ball patiently around, and a cross from Mbappe is hacked away.
Fekir slides in Depay, who cuts in onto his right foot inside the box, and his low shot to Areola's right-hand side is well stopped.
Traore receives the ball in the box, he looks for a chance to curl into the corner, but his shot goes straight into a defender. Kurzawa then bundles over Ndombele in the box, but the referee inexplicably turns down the appeal.
PSG are taking their time, and are strolling around in defence.
Lyon force PSG back into their own box now, but they play it out short rather than humping it long, as Lyon did.
Lyon have started well enough, but they're being pressed back into their own box.
- 1st Half
Off we go.
Right, let me know how many you think PSG will score tonight - a United or a City?
Be sure to send your comments to @lxndrnthrtn, and I'll use the best ones here.
Of course, we are all really here to see how Kylian Mbappe, Julian Draxler, Neymar and Edinson Cavani combine with one another against one of the better teams they have faced so far this season.
Paris have a perfect record so far, with five wins from five. A draw or win would give them breathing space over Monaco, just behind them on 15 points but with six games played. Lyon would go into third with a win, and a draw would move them into fourth.
Mariano is an interesting one. He scored five in 14 appearances for Real Madrid last year, in his first senior squad season, including a hat-trick. He has represented the Domincan Republic, and moved to Lyon after just one season with Real (not counting his B team appearances). He cost only eight million euros, and there's a buyback option. While that's not necessarily on the cards, he has scored four goals in five apperances already, and could be flipped by Real for a quick profit.
Lyon have the excellent Nabil Fekir, their new captain and recovered from a serious knee injury, to support Memphis and Mariano in attack.
The notable absence from the PSG line up is Marqunhos, who doesn't even make the bench. Also, Alphonse Areola starts in goal, as PSG struggle to properly solve their goalkeeping problems - one for Thibaut Courtois to keep an eye on.
