The price for Neymar’s freedom from Paris Saint-Germain was reportedly set at €215m when he joined the club in summer 2017, according to Spanish media.
The reports come as speculation mounts regarding Neymar’s future in Paris and amid rumours of dissatisfaction at the club.
Spanish media outlet Sport claims that the agreement was made with the Ligue One club’s president, Nasser Al Khelaifi, but that the Brazil international must remain at the club until 2020 – three seasons after he joined for a record fee of €220m.
It is thought that the 26-year-old would look to return to his former club Barcelona, and that PSG hope to replace him with World Cup-winning Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann.
Neymar has been overshadowed somewhat this season by Griezmann’s France team-mate, 19-year-old Kylian Mbappe, who has been attracting attention at domestic and international level.
