Football news - St Etienne's Wahbi Khazri scores twice to sink Monaco

Wahbi Khazri notched a double as St Etienne sunk visiting Monaco 2-0 to move up to second in the Ligue 1 standings on Friday.

Khazri opened the scoring with a half volley from inside the box in the 41st minute and doubled the tally nine minutes into the second half with a low shot.

Les Verts have 15 points from eight matches with leaders Paris St Germain on 21 before they travel to Nice on Saturday. Monaco are 18th with six points.
