Sarina Wiegman will try to replicate her England success with Team GB at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The Lionesses manager will lead Team GB's women's football team next summer should they qualify. Their participation is dependant on England - Britain's qualifying nation - topping their group in the UEFA Women's Nations League. England face Scotland on Friday in their first game.

England manager Sarina Wiegman will take charge of the Team GB women’s football team should they qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Under Wiegman's leadership, England’s women’s team became the first England side – male or female – in 56 years to win a major tournament when they won the 2022 UEFA Women’s European Championship.
Now the Dutch coach will be tasked with ending Team GB’s wait for football gold at the Olympics, provided they qualify.
Team GB competed at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics under then-interim England boss Hege Riise, but suffered a quarter-final exit at the hands of Australia.
Great Britain will qualify for next summer’s games in Paris as long as nominated nation England win their UEFA Nations League group.
England – who Wiegman guided to the final of the 2023 Women’s World Cup – find themselves in a group alongside Belgium, the Netherlands and Scotland.
On her appointment, Wiegman said: “The Olympics Games is such a special sporting event and, for women's football, one of the biggest stages to play.
“That is the goal, but we know it cannot happen if we don't do our job in the Nations League.
“Until that is complete, it would not be right to talk any more about Team GB including speculation about players and any early preparations.”

England will kick-off their Nations League campaign when they face Scotland at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light on Friday, September 22. Four days later they will take on 2017 European Championship winners the Netherlands in Utrecht.
English, Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish players would be eligible to represent Team GB at the Paris Olympics.
Scotland’s presence in England’s Nations League group means that they could prevent Team GB from qualifying for the Olympics.
