Porto have agreed a new deal with goalkeeper Helton which will keep the Brazil international at the Portuguese giants until 2010.
Recent reports suggested that other clubs were interested in the 28-year-old, but Porto's offer of improved wages secured the services of the former Vasco da Gama keeper.
Helton joined Porto at the start of the 2005/2006 season and faced a battle with Portuguese great Vitor Baia for the keeper's spot.
But after making 11 appearances last season, Helton has been an ever-present this campaign in coach Jesulado Ferreira side for both the Liga and Champions League.
Helton's form was recognised by Brazil coach Dunga in November when he awarded him his first cap against Switzerland.
