Sam Allardyce confirms Sunderland set to complete deal for Emmanuel Eboue

Sam Allardyce has confirmed that Sunderland are set to complete a deal for Emmanuel Eboue this week.

Eboue is expected to sign for the club until the end of the season, but will not be involved in the weekend's game at Southampton.

The 32-year-old has been training with the club for the last month, having been released by Galatasaray last summer.

Eboue made 214 appearances for Arsenal between 2005 and 2011.
