Elokobi races back to chase Tchoyi and puts in a good tackle. West Brom's first corner is cleared, but only after Wolves have to ride out a secondary attack from it.

O'Hara's corner is headed right back to him, and the second ball is disappointing. Jerome Thomas leads the West Brom break. He backheels to Somen Tchoyi for a sidefooted effort from range that tamely goes wide.

Ward lays the ball off to O'Hara, whose dragged shot is defelcted wide for the game's first corner.

Jamie O'Hara bends in a cross to Ward's feet inside the box. His turn and shot are from a difficult angle and the effort is blocked. Really high tempo from Wolves in these opening few minutes.

Gonzalo Jara tidies up with a header back to Scott Carson. Wolves not giving West Brom any time on the ball in midfield. They force an error which leads to George Elokobi going down the left wing, but his cross is headed clear.

Only two teams have scored fewer goals than Wolves in the Premier League this season. That will have to change, but without Doyle or Ebanks-Blake it may be a task.

Stephen Ward runs on to a flick-on and heads for goal, but he had just strayed offside on that occasion.

West Brom kick off and we're underway!

The two teams are striding out on to the Molineux turf now, heralded as ever by 'Fanfare for the Common Man'. No Black Country derby ever needs any added spice, but with relegation a real possibility for Wolves this game is a huge one. We'll be underway in moments...

Mick McCarthy is refusing to contemplate the prospect of Wolves being relegated from the Premier League despite being in the bottom three with just three games remaining: "We're not getting relegated. We're not talking about it at all. We haven't given it a thought. If we start thinking about that, that's a sure recipe for disaster."

Today's referee at Molineux is Mike Dean. The official from the Wirral was also in charge of the reverse fixture back in February.

A tidy stat from OptaJoe on Twitter: "If Premier League games had ended at half-time this season, West Brom would be bottom with 30 points. Sluggish."

HEAD-TO-HEAD: Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Bromwich Albion have met 143 times. Wolves have won 51, West Brom 52 and 40 draws. West Brom are unbeaten in their last five matches against Wolves, since a 1-0 away Championship defeat in March 2007. The Baggies have won three of their last four league visits to Molineux. When these two sides met at The Hawthorns back in February, Carlos Vela scored a 90th-minute equaliser in a 1-1 draw.

Somen Tchoyi makes his first West Brom start of the year, coming in to replace the suspended Paul Scharner in midfield. Jerome Thomas is back in the starting line-up as manager Roy Hodgson goes for a five-man midfield behind lone striker Peter Odemwingie. Carlos Vela drops to the bench following Albion's 2-1 win over Villa last time out. Influential midfielder Chris Brunt and defender Steven Reid both again miss out through injury.

Wolves Sylvan Ebanks-Blake failed a late fitness test, so top scorer Steven Fletcher again starts up front on his own with Kevin Doyle still absent. Ebanks-Blake has missed the last two games with the hamstring problem which flared up again during the 1-1 home draw with Fulham a fortnight ago.

With none of the other teams in the bottom five of the table winning on Saturday, Wolves can move out of the relegation zone with a win over their Black Country rivals this lunchtime. West Brom can move back up into the top half with a derby victory at Molineux.
