Aston Villa have said they are "aware of the photographs circulating" of Jack Grealish after the midfielder was pictured apparently drunk on holiday in Tenerife.

The 19-year-old, who played a key role in Villa’s end-of-season revival and was pivotal for Tim Sherwood’s side as they reached the FA Cup final, jetted off to the Canary Islands with a few of his close friends for a well-deserved post-season holiday.
Grealish, who has recently become involved in a tug-of-war between England and Republic of Ireland after rejecting a senior call-up to Martin O’Neill’s side despite playing for the Under-21s, has been busy on social media in recent days, posting pictures of him and his friends during their getaway.
However, on Sunday evening a number of photos of Grealish started circulating on Twitter, appearing to show him lying in the middle of the road not looking his best.
The teenager moved quickly to quash the rumours that it was him in the damning pictures. Taking to Twitter, Grealish posted a picture of him and a friend, saying: ”Me n my best pal @olliepriestley I'm on the floor apparently.”
However, Villa announced in a statement they will now have talks with Grealish over the incident, saying: "The club is aware of the photographs of Jack Grealish currently circulating.
"We will be meeting with the player but any action will remain an internal matter. There will be no further comment from the club."
And just hours earlier, the same Twitter user had posted a picture of Grealish, wearing the same t-shirt, looking compos mentis.

It remains to be seen whether the person in question is Grealish or not – though evidence suggests it could well be the Birmingham-born midfielder.
But in an age when footballers are heavily criticised for such behaviour, the 19-year-old will more than likely come under scrutiny for allowing himself to become involved in this story.
