Jurgen Klopp gave his first press conference as Liverpool manager, and it's fair to say that he and the media got on like a petrol station on fire.

"You get the feeling you could have listened to that for hours," said Sky Sports News anchor Rob Wotton as, with a note of regret, he brought the live broadcast of Klopp's inaugural appearance to a close.
And while Wotton was exaggerating enormously, it's no doubt that he nailed the prevailing mood. Everyone, it seems, can't get enough of Jurgen Klopp.
Klopp's key one-liner - a mild dig at Jose Mourinho - was much admired and discussed:
Is it the time to point out that the same line was used by a rather ill-fated ex-Chelsea manager?
No. Probably not the time, judging from all this:
The outpouring of feelings was, for some, almost orgasmic.
Yes, this was a masterclass of charm by Klopp, who had the assembled members of the press corps eating out of his hand - and that's despite (or possibly because of) his refusal to pander to them, instead relying on being himself. It's Kloppmania!
The great and good of the game were not immune from his magnetism. Nor were former FA bigwigs.
The ultimate accolade, though? Even Manchester United fans got stuck into the love-in.
Even his occasional lapses of English won him praise, thanks to his disclaimer at the start of the morning.
All in all? The verdict is in. No need to wait for the end of the season to take stock, or even the final whistle after Klopp's first match in charge, against Tottenham next weekend.
