De Jong on for Perez.

Anichebe chases a high ball, forcing Darlow out to close down. He comes out with a high right foot, and Anichebe takes it around him, but Anichebe goes down with a belated dive, and the ref ignores his penalty claims.

Berahino on for Morrison.

Wijnaldum finds Perez, who moves away from goal, spins to cross the ball, but it strikes Fletcher and is cleared.

Brunt's cross is headed away. It comes out to Perez who thinks he's fouled, and Jones allows play to continue. Morrison puts in another cross, cleared by Colback. The pressure is growing on Newcastle now.

Dummett is the latest player down. A moment before, Dawson controls the ball at the back post from Brunt's set piece, and he wanly plays a ball inside which is hacked away.

Anichebe gets clattered by Tiote in midfield, but he's up swiftly and able to continue. Berahino will be on soon.

A late change for Newcastle.

Obviously the big news is that Anders Lindegaard REMAINS on the bench for West Bromwich Albion. Apart from that, Saido Berahino also REMAINS on the naughty step, with Jonny 'Jonny' Evans looking set to continue as a defensive midfielder.

Steve McClaren on Newcastle's record: "That hasn't been good enough. We're working and working and seeing the progress. More consistency needs to be there and we need a damn better second half then we did the first. We need a better 2016 than 2015, when there wasn't a lot to cheer about all the way through."

Tony Pulis: "You put two or three results together and you're in the top 10. That's how close this league is, it's close this year. It will ebb and flow and we haven't even reached halfway yet. We played really well at Swansea and we've got to keep going and keep believing."
