Sergio Aguero rescued a 1-1 draw for Manchester City in a pulsating top-four clash with Liverpool, that surely ends their Premier League title hopes.
The Argentine coolly tucked in Kevin De Bruyne's sublime cross 21 minutes from time after James Milner's penalty had put the visitors in front.
It means the Citizens stay third, two points behind Tottenham and 12 adrift of leaders Chelsea with just 10 matches to play.
Liverpool are a point further back in fourth but have played a game more.
The draw sees the Merseysiders remain unbeaten in games against the current top six this season - but they are now just four points ahead of fifth-placed Manchester United, who have played two less.

TALKING POINT. Not a goal-fest, but it still lived up to its billing

It was an enthralling encounter full of glaring misses, penalty shouts, desperate defending and free-flowing attacking football. But after 90 breathtaking minutes, the point does little for the aspirations of both sides and perhaps highlights why neither have been able to truly challenge Chelsea. City were hoping to stay in with an outside chance, but are now surely out of it after falling further off the pace this weekend. Liverpool have played more than their other top four rivals, so any dropped points are cause for concern with Arsenal and Manchester United waiting to take advantage of any slip.

MAN OF THE MATCH

Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City). Caused Liverpool plenty of problems on the right. Provided the assist for the equaliser and could have had more if his teammates had their shooting boots on.

KEY MOMENTS

21' - MAN CITY CHANCE! Sane uses his frightening pace to surge free on the left of the box. He dances beyond Clyne and drills in a low cross. It hits a defender and falls for Silva who rifles wide from 10 yards.
4o' - MAN CITY CHANCE! De Bruyne cuts through Liverpool's defence with a lovely ball to Silva on the left of the area. The Spaniard fires a low cross into the middle that Sterling somehow misses. It falls for Fernandinho at the far post, who inexplicably stabs into the side-netting on the stretch. City feel they should have had a penalty. Milner caught Sterling as he attempted to tap home, while Klavan also appeared to tug back Aguero. Let off for the Merseysiders!
51' - GOAL! MAN CITY 0-1 LIVERPOOL. Milner steps up and coolly fires the penalty into Caballero's right-hand corner, with the keeper diving the opposite way. City aren't happy about the award after Clichy bundled into Firmino with a high boot after the Brazilian was left free in the area to collect Can's diagonal pass.
62' - LIVERPOOL CHANCE! Coutinho slips Firmino through. He races clear into the area but sees his low shot brilliantly saved by Caballero.
69' - GOAL! MAN CITY 1-1 LIVERPOOL. Aguero pulls the hosts level. De Bruyne fires in a devilish low ball from the right and the Argentine arrives on cue to slot home.
76' - OFF THE POST! Aguero surges free of two challenges and plays in Sane on the left of the area. The youngster back heels it back into his path. Aguero stumbles trying to get the shot off... it falls for De Bruyne who sees his effort hit the woodwork.
81' - WHAT A MISS! Lallana somehow fails to connect with a simply volley six yards out after Wijnaldum and Firmino had wonderfully carved City open.
90+2' - MAN CITY CHANCE! Aguero volleys over the top at the far post after De Bruyne had picked him out with a fine run and cross.
