Manchester City and Chelsea set to go to war over Edinson Cavani

According to the Sun, a summer tug of war over the rights to Edinson Cavani's signature will ensue as both clubs target the ex-Napoli hitman. The report states that Cavani is keen on the Premier League after three seasons in France and any fee would be in the region of £30 million.

Paper Round's view: Considering Manchester City's continued flops in trying to find a back up striker for Aguero, Cavani is an option but it would depend on the suitability to Guardiola's style and game plan. Chelsea would likely be the ideal destination, as he may even get the starting role considering Diego Costa's future is up in the air.

Pep Guardiola eyes John Stones while Chelsea consider Scott Dann

The Daily Mail are reporting Everton's John Stones is increasingly likely to join Pep Guardiola's Manchester City revolution in the summer. The report indicates that Chelsea believe they won't get their hands on the young defender, as their overtures in the summer were rejected by him and Everton. While City are expected to bid £45 million for his services, Chelsea are expected to target Crystal Palace defender Scott Dann with a reported asking price of £20 million.

Paper Round's view: Guardiola has a lot to work with if he purchases Stones, although City fans need to understand that he's far from the finished product and that it will take time to get the best out of him. Scott Dann on the other hand is a late bloomer, as Chelsea seek to rebuild the spine of their team with some experience.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain up for sale in the summer

Arsenal are ready to hear offers for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the summer, according to the Independent. The club believe that he has currently not made enough progress in his five years in London after 149 appearances and injury issues, and is believed to be worth around £15 million on the open market.

Paper Round's view: Maybe the tough love required to get him fit and firing over the summer, but there's a good chance this is legitimate and Wenger's patience has run out. Would be a quality pick up for an ambitious mid-table team if they could convince and keep the Ox injury free.

West Ham target Andre Ayew in £14 million raid

After almost being lured to Sunderland in January, a report in the Daily Star is linking Andre Ayew to a £14 million move to West Ham in the summer. The Ghanaian international is alongside Michy Batshuayi of Marseille as a target for the London club, as they seek to bolster their squad's attacking firepower.

Paper Round's view: While the very talented Batshuayi is probably the preferred prospect, Ayew will improve the longer he's in the Premier League and would cause havoc alongside Dimitri Payet.
