PSG are monitoring David De Gea's situation at Manchester United but Luke Shaw could be set for a new deal at Old Trafford. It's Monday's Paper Round.

PSG monitoring De Gea situation

We start with a report from The Mail that says David De Gea is in no rush to sign a new contract with Manchester United. His present deal expires at the end of the season but United have an option to extend it. The report adds that French champions PSG might be interested in the goalkeeper if no solution can be found.
Paper Round's view: PSG's goalkeeping situation is all sorts of weird at the moment. They have one of the most promising young goalkeepers in the world in Alphonse Areola, but they moved to sign Gianluigi Buffon in the summer. However De Gea is such an elite goalkeeper that he is still worth pursuing if he becomes available...

Shaw set for new Man Utd deal

Plenty of the papers are reporting that left-back Luke Shaw is set to sign a new deal at Manchester United. Like De Gea, Shaw's contract is due to expire at the end of the season and United plan to offer him a new deal worth £150,000-a-week in order to secure his future.
Paper Round's view: This is some turnaround for Shaw, who looked like he would be heading out the exit door for most of the past couple of seasons. However he is finally showing just how good a player he can be and certainly warrants his new contract.

Dembele to leave Spurs on a free

In The Sun it is reported that Mousa Dembele is set to leave Tottenham Hotspur on a free transfer at the end of the season. Dembele will not sign a new contract and he will wait until the end of the season to sign a lucrative deal in China, most likely with Beijing Sinobo Guoan.
Paper Round's view: Dembele has served Spurs well over the past few seasons and he deserves to have a say over his next move. The worry for Spurs is that Dembele is still one of their better players when he actually plays: he will leave a hole in the midfield that will need to be filled.

Fulham target Musacchio

And we end with The Mirror, who report that Fulham are looking at AC Milan's Mateo Musacchio as a possible January target. Newly promoted Fulham spent over £100 million this summer and brought in Alfie Mawson, Calum Chambers and Maxime Le Marchand - however none of them have really settled. That has seen Slavisa Jokanovic look to Musacchio.
Paper Round's view: Fulham's strategy of throwing money at defenders until one of them sticks is pretty amusing to watch. How long until they're on the phone to Brede Hangeland...?
