23'

Henderson seizes possession deep in Gunners territory and teases a ball to the far post where Firmino can't collect to get a shot away. Best moment so far for the Merseysiders.

19'

Mane trying to carve out an opening in the Arsenal box. He is outnumbered and calls for a spot kick as his attempted cross is blocked. There's nothing in it at all and the hosts eventually move it clear.

13'

Clyne lets fly from distance but Cech is down well to make a routine stop.

12'

Not much to shout about for the visitors in attack so far. Arsenal shading it thus far.

Arsenal's Theo Walcott in action with Liverpool's Georginio Wijnaldum
11'

An early snap of Firmino leading the line for LFC.

10'

DID YOU KNOW? Liverpool’s biggest ever win at Arsenal came in October 1893. Te Merseysiders won 5-0 in the first ever meeting in London between the sides. Their heaviest loss saw them demolished 8-1 in September 1934.

9'

Or he could be sitting on an invisible man's shoulders...?

8'

Sanchez works the ball into the area for Ramsey whose snap shot is right into the midriff of Mignolet.

7'

Much made of the players unavailable for Arsenal - but Liverpool have a fair few with Milner and Sturridge amongst them.

6'

Great work from Chambers as he nullifies the threat of Mane after Liverpool's big money signing had threatened to manufacture an opening for a shot on the right of the area.

5'

The corner is half cleared to Coquelin but his attempted cross is too close to Mignolet who gathers with ease.

4'

Arsenal first to show with Monreal on the left side of the area, but the Spaniard's cutback is blocked behind for a corner.

4'

FIRST DAY JITTERS? Arsenal have lost just one of the 10 most recent league and cup meetings between the two sides, winning five of them. However, they have been defeated in two of their last three home games on the opening weekend of the season.

3'

This is potentially a difficult test for 21-year-old Calum Chambers and 20-year-old debutant Rob Holding given LFC's scoring record so far in 2016.

2'

DID YOU KNOW? Liverpool's only win in their last 20 trips to Arsenal in all competitions came in the Premier League in August 2011. The Merseysiders triumped 2-0 that day courtesy of an own goal from Aaron Ramsey and a strike from substitute Luis Suarez. That is the only occasion in almost 33 years that the Reds have won at the Gunners by more than one goal..

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger: "[The new managers] will be interesting, but the quality on the pitch will be the most important thing and let's not forget we finished second. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp: "We are not looking for excuses. There is nothing positive about not being involved in European football apart from having more time to train. It's exciting for everybody having these big names [managers] in the league. If they all have one target and that's winning the league then there can only be one lucky person. What does that mean for the others - they fail or they still do a good job?"
