Besiktas want to sign Loris Karius whilst Spurs are looking at Kieran Tierney. It's Monday's Paper Round.
Besiktas eye Karius
We start with a report from The Mirror which says that Besiktas want to sign Loris Karius and Liverpool are prepared to let him go following the arrival of Alisson over the summer. However if that move does go through then Jurgen Klopp will not allow Simon Mignolet to leave having already seen Danny Ward depart Anfield.
Paper Round's view: This is a really sensible move for all parties. Karius has to leave Liverpool and really the Premier League in order to rebuild his career. It's sad that this is the case but that is the state of football now, there are too many negative connotations for Karius at Anfield. Besiktas is a great club with a great set of fans, he can rediscover his best form there.
Spurs eye Tierney
We now move to The Mail, who have a story that Tottenham Hotspur will look to take advantage of Celtic's exit from the Champions League by picking up Kieran Tierney on a cheap deal.
Paper Round's view: Make no mistake about it, this would be a brilliant signing if Spurs can pull it off, Tierney could be their left-back for a decade. The real question is whether or not he wants to leave his boyhood club...
Loftus-Cheek wants future talks
In The Sun it is reported that Ruben Loftus-Cheek wants assurances over his future at Chelsea from manager Maurizio Sarri. Loftus-Cheek came off the bench against Huddersfield but was left out of the squad against Arsenal.
Paper Round's view: This is a really delicate situation. It feels as if Loftus-Cheek could be on the cusp of breaking out into a top Premier League player however for that he needs regular game time. It doesn't look like he is going to get that at Chelsea so it might be best for his career if he moves on...
RB Leipzig make improved £22m Lookman bid
And we end with The Mirror, who report that Bundesliga side RB Leipzig have made an improved offer of £22 million for Ademola Lookman, who impressed on loan last season. However that is still short of the Toffees' asking price of around £30 million.
Paper Round's view: £22 million doubles Everton's money and they really should consider selling if RB Leipzig bid in the £25 million range. Lookman's development may well stall at Everton following the arrivals of Bernard and Richarlison and he should be at a club that wants him.
