Chelsea eye up Ramsey

We've got three transfer stories from The Mirror and the first is that Chelsea are keeping an eye on Aaron Ramsey's contract situation at Arsenal. Ramsey is about to enter the final year of his contract and Chelsea are monitoring the situation with a view to a possible deal if a new contract is not signed.
Paper Round's view: Cesc Fabregas has gone off the boil at Chelsea and N'Golo Kante is crying out for a new midfield partner. Ramsey would appear to be the perfect fit and a fresh start could be just what he needs after his problems trying to rediscover his best form.

Chelsea have fears over Hazard future

The next story covers possible departures at Stamford Bridge with a report that the Blues are increasingly concerned over the futures of both Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois. Both are yet to commit to new contracts, with both PSG and Real Madrid interested in potential moves in the summer if they choose to leave.
Paper Round's view: This is a very difficult situation for Chelsea. As the report points out they are likely to lose their manager in the summer. To lose two of their best players as well could be catastrophic. However, next season is likely to be the second out of the last three where Chelsea have no Champions League football, it's a worrying trend for the champions.

Elneny set for Arsenal contract with Wilshere rejecting a deal

Our final Mirror story sees us return to the Emirates with a report saying that Mohamed Elneny is due for a new contract at Arsenal just seven months after the club were willing to listen to offers for him. However, Jack Wilshere's future is in doubt after he rejected a contract offer from the club because he wants a higher basic wage than £110,000-a-week. The Gunners want to offer him incentives based on how many games he is able to play.
Paper Round's view: For Elneny this would be a well-deserved contract, the Egyptian has become one of the more reliable Arsenal performers in recent weeks. As for Wilshere he needs to realise that if his injury history is going to count against him. It's hard to see another team being interested in offering a contract as big as he seems to want.

Real Betis furious with Wilshere

Finally, we have an exclusive from The Sun that says Real Betis are angry with Jack Wilshere, that he used them to get a new contract at Arsenal. The report says that Betis made contact with Wilshere and his team last year to sign a pre-contract in January but now feel that he has used their interest to extract more money from Arseanl.
Paper Round's view: This is certainly a rather surprising story but despite Real Betis' impressive season that currently sees them in eighth it's hard to imagine Wilshere making that move. Particularly when you consider that Everton, Juventus and AC Milan have all been mentioned as potential destinations.
