City eye £100m Hazard bid

We start with a big back-page exclusive from The Daily Star which says that Manchester City are considering making a bid of £100 million for Chelsea's Eden Hazard. The Belgian is reportedly uncertain of his future at Chelsea and City want him as they are only looking at signing one or two big signings rather than multiple smaller deals.
Paper Round's view: It's clear that Chelsea are going to have a bit of a problem with Hazard. Unless their signings and managerial appointment are enough to impress him he could be off. However to lose him to a divisional rival, and for just £100 million, wouldn't make any sense for the Blues.

Courtois and Conte could join Hazard out of the door

Sticking with Chelsea and a variety of news coming out says that there could be three high-profile exits from Stamford Bridge this summer. As well as Eden Hazard's refusal to commit his future to the club his compatriot Thibaut Courtois has also been coy over whether or not he will stay at the club next season. Finally it looks certain despite winning the FA Cup that Antonio Conte will leave Chelsea.
Paper Round's view: Paper Round has said it before and we'll say it again, this feels like a pivotal summer for Chelsea. They have to make sure they make the right decision if they are to avoid slipping further down the table. The news surrounding Roman Abramovich is hardly helping either...

Manchester United prepare £250m summer splurge

We now to the red half of Manchester with a report from The Mirror that Manchester United are preparing a summer splurge of £250 million. Jose Mourinho wants to sign Toby Alderweireld to strengthen his defence whilst Fred, Jorginho and Jean Michael Seri are all options in midfield. Finally Gareth Bale is still under consideration as a potential target.
Paper Round's view: Realistically how many of these players will United sign? Two? Alderweireld looks likely to join but would more than one midfield player arrive? It seems unlikely. Although let's be honest Bale joining would be hilarious to watch.

Arteta and Wilshere close to signing

And we end in The Mirror with a report that Arsenal are close to appointing Mikel Arteta as the club's new manager and as an added bonus Jack Wilshere is ready to commit his future to the club.
Paper Round's view: Arteta's appointment has been rumoured for some time now but it is great news for the club if Wilshere agrees a deal as well. He may have missed out on a World Cup spot but Wilshere has taken great strides this season and has shown that he can be counted on.
