Man Utd will have to pay £80m for Maguire

We start with The Daily Star who continue the Harry Maguire transfer saga on their back page. The report says that whilst Leicester are keen to keep Maguire and hope to sign him to a new deal they will demand a fee of £80 million if he is to join Manchester United. That fee would break the record for a defender which currently stands at the £75 million Liverpool paid Southampton for Virgil van Dijk.
Paper Round's view: Maguire is an excellent defender but he has never played in the Champions League, although he did look unfazed at the World Cup. If United feel he's worth it then the fee almost doesn't matter with the way fees are going.

Real switch to Cavani

In the Mirror there is a report from AS that says that Real Madrid are directing their attention to Edinson Cavani in a bid to replace Cristiano Ronaldo. That might lead to them cooling their interest in Chelsea's Eden Hazard.
Paper Round's view: Cavani is a prolific goalscorer, he has proven that throughout his career, but he cannot replace the goals of Ronaldo, no-one can. If Real can afford it signing Cavani and Hazard might be the way to go...

Zinchenko to fight for City place

Sticking in The Mirror with quotes from Oleksandr Zinchenko saying that the youngster will stay and fight for his place at Manchester City. The Premier League champions have accepted a £16 million bid from Wolves for the Ukrainian, 21, but Zinchenko looks likely to stay.
Paper Round's view: This is an interesting move from Zinchenko, especially with Benjamin Mendy returning to full fitness. However if he believes in himself to play regularly for City, or often enough, then credit to him.

Villa to bring in Moreira from Atletico

And we end in The Mirror with a report that Aston Villa will bring in Andre Moreira from Atletico Madrid on loan, the first sign that Steve Bruce has the backing of the new owners.
Paper Round's view: This is an encouraging sign for Bruce, who has had a difficult off-season, and ideally for him it is the first of more signings to help him build the squad he wants.
