  • End of 2nd Half
90+4'

Full time. An impressive if not dominating victory for Chelsea. They cut the gap on Spurs and gee themselves up for the weekend. Poor Morata, though.

90+3'

Barnes concedes a foul on Kante with a challenge for a high ball, and that should be that.

90+2'

Burnley hoof a long ball from the back that runs straight to Courtois.

90+1'

There will be four minutes of added time.

90'

Kante and Zappacosta team up on the counter-attack, but Burnley drop back, forcing Chelsea to keep the ball at the back. They'll take that.

88'

Only a couple of minutes of normal time to go. Thereafter, a minute might not have 60 seconds.

80'

A touch over 10 minutes of normal time remaining. Emerson is tripped on the left by Lowton and wins a free kick.

76'

On the bench, Morata has been punching the ground in frustration. He is clearly a good player, and he's not far from being excellent if he finds his ruthlessness.

74'

Just over 15 minutes to go. Chelsea will see a victory as a chance to give the next few games meaning.

61'

Giroud and Tarkowski bash heads, and are down for treatment.

60'

Morata fouls Long as they tussle on the edge of the defence.

55'

Alvar-oh. He's set through on goal, sprints past his marker and sizes up Pope. He drills a low shot past the keeper, and against the advertisements. A desperate waste.

53'

For a moment, Wood looks like he's getting a chance to fire on goal as he seizes on a through ball, but Cahill lunges back to reach the ball after it had bounced off him. Courtois takes the corner.

51'

Morata, Pedro and Giroud team up, but Giroud's effort as he spins on the edge of the box is fired at a defender.

50'

The first five minutes have been a nothing.

47'

An eff-up from Kante sees Burnley win the ball back, Wood seems to be pulled away from the ball, but the ref gives nothing.

  • End of 1st Half
45+1'

That's half time. See you in 15 minutes.

45'

There will be a minute's added time.

44'

A minute before the end of normal time for the first half. Giroud is penalised for a handball, which is is miffed about.

41'

Cahill risks his cranial integrity by heading away a chance under pressure.

40'

N'Golo Kante spots space ahead of him to run into, and he drives towards the edge of the box before clipping a shot just over the bar.

38'

Fewer than 10 minutes left of the half now, with another Chelsea goal looking likelier.

36'

Cahill hoofs the ball away. Chelsea's defence has been pretty decent so far.

33'

Giroud slips in Morata behind the defence, but Pope rushes out to block his shot smartly.

31'

A Burnley free kick is cleared after Tarkowksi heads across goal. Morata goes up the other end of the pitch and is tackled.

29'

Pedro curls a free kick over the two man wall, but it curls wide of the near post. It wasn't too bad an effort, but started too wide.

28'

Morata is pulled down by Tarkowski on the edge of the box. A booking and a free kick for Pedro, on the left of the box.

24'

A long ball finds Morata, off a touch from Tarkowski, but he's offside and the game is called back.

23'

Emerson jogs inside the pitch about 40 yards before releasing the ball to the right wing.

GOAL! Burnley 0-1 Chelsea. Long scores an own goal - An unfortunate one for Long, who watches Pope push out a Moses cross against his team mate, only to see the ball bounce into his own net.

17'

Burnley have been fine against Chelsea, so far. The difference in quality of individuals is obvious, but that hasn't been a terrible problem so far.

14'

Barnes chases a long ball over the top, and under the attention of Azpilicueta he takes a tumble and wins a free kick - no, I'm a clown. It's a throw in.

11'

Morata goes close. In behind the defence from a through ball, he fires across goal and Pope gets a vital touch to turn it behind for a corner.

8'

Giroud gets in behind the defence, but Long is across to coer. It seems as if he hit the ball at the same time as Giroud, sending him to the ground. The referee ignores his appeals.

2'

Nothing of note from the opening stages. I'm sure it will build into something tactically fascinating soon enough.

Off we go.

19:35

I forgot that I've binned off Twitter, so please send them instead to @eurosport_UK. There are just 10 minutes to go before kick off, so why not send in your predictions on the score, too?

19:30

Please send me your considered and well-informed thoughts, full of insight, to @lxndrnthrtn.

19:25

A win for Burnley, though, would take them into sixth, above Arsenal but with a game more played. I'm sure we can agree that Burnley finishing above Arsenal would not be funny in any way. Grow up.

19:20

A win for Chelsea would reduce the gap between them in fifth and Spurs in fourth to five points. There are only four games left, but that's never stopped Spurs before.

19:15

For Burnley, they have Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes in attack. Barnes was one of the big lads up top that Chelsea were linked with before they settled on Giroud, who looks like a much more viable option in a better side - there's less pressure on him, but also, everyone looks better away from Arsenal these days.

19:10

Chelsea have taken the unusual step of starting both Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud. It's a Mike Bassett moment, perhaps. Antonio Conte is going Four Four Effing Two.
